Quest’anno il Dolomites Horse Show, evento di salto ostacoli d’eccellenza, debutta a Selva di Val Gardena. La location dell’evento è la bellissima Vallunga, patrimonio naturale dell’ UNESCO, un luogo ideale per un evento che concilia performances sportive ed eleganza in un clima di festa. La bella vita e lo sport di alto livello con i migliori cavalieri del mondo si incontreranno dal 30 giugno al 3 luglio 2016. For the first time the Dolomites Horse Show, a show jumping event par excellence, will take place in Selva Val Gardena. The location where the premiere will be held is the beautiful Vallunga, an UNESCO world heritage site, and the perfect place for an event that combines sports performance and elegance in a festive atmosphere. The best riders of the world will be competing from the 30th of June to the 3rd of July 2016.

La Val Gardena è conosciuta ben oltre i confini della regione per i suoi eventi sportivi internazionali: la Coppa del mondo di sci alpino sulla mitica “Saslong” è per esempio, ogni anno, uno spettacolo acclamato in tutto il modo, e poi il torneo internazionale di tennis al coperto a Ortisei e in estate sono gli eventi di ciclismo come la HERO, che attraggono migliaia di visitatori e collegano in modo singolare sport, spettacolo e natura.

Val Gardena is well known far beyond the country’s borders for its international sporting events: The Ski World Cup downhill on the Saslong for example is every year a world acclaimed spectacle. Also the international indoor tennis tournament in Ortisei attracts thousands of visitors and in summer cycling events as the Hero mountain bike race combine sport, spectacle and nature in a unique way.

Novità in questa lista illustre è il “Dolomiti Horse Show” a Selva, al quale partecipano cavalli e cavalieri provenienti da 15 nazioni. Ancor prima di questa prima edizione sono convinto che l’evento si affermerà perché lo sport equestre si sposa meravigliosamente con questo scenario incomparabile offerto dalle montagne e dalla Val Gardena. Mi permetto quindi di allungare una conosciuta citazione: la fortuna del mondo si trova sul dorso dei cavalli … e ai piedi delle Dolomiti!

New in this presentable list is the “Dolomites Horse Show” in Selva Val Gardena, on which horses and riders from 15 different nations will take part. I am already convinced that the first edition of this event will pay off as the equestrian sport matches the open air arena, which this village offers, just perfect. Therefore, I allow myself to shortly change a known quote as follows: The luck of the earth is on the back of a horse … and at the foot of the Dolomites!

Agli oltre 100 cavalieri con i loro cavalli auguro ottime condizioni di gara, una settimana in Val Gardena priva d’infortuni, grande divertimento e tanto successo.

I wish the over 100 riders and their horses ideal racing conditions, an injury-free week, lots of fun and success. I would like to thank the organizing committee for the courage to bet on this new event and I wish good luck!

La Val Gardena s’estende in Alto Adige, nel centro delle Dolomiti nord-occidentali, tra il Massiccio del Sella, Passo Sella, Passo Gardena e Ponte Gardena. A valle, nel carosello del Sellaronda, fa poi capolino Selva, a pochi km di distanza da S. Cristina: una meta molto amata in estate e inverno, grazie alla sua variegata offerta culturale e alle numerose discipline sportive che è possibile praticare. A narrow ravine in the Val D’Isarco leads to this wonderful, 25km long valley in the heart of the Dolomites. It belongs to one of the most fascinating and diverse mountain landscapes in the world and, year after year, it enchants mountaineers and tourists with its unique location. The valley is crossed by the Gardena River and, has three main villages: Ortisei, S. Cristina and Selva Gardena. È un grande piacere darvi il benvenuto alla prima edizione del Dolomites Horse Show in Italia. L’ evento si terrà a Selva di Val Gardena, nella bellissima Vallunga, patrimonio naturale dell’ UNESCO. Questo evento è una grande opportunità per tutto il pubblico di conciliare il piacere della montagna con la scoperta di questo affascinante sport. L’ idea per questo evento è nata dalla mia grande passione per i cavalli e così ho pensato di portare una manifestazione di livello mondiale nella mia città natale, Selva. Sono molto orgoglioso che grazie all’ arma dei Carabinieri abbiamo potuto realizzare questo evento nel Parco Naturale della Vallunga, location incantata ed unica al mondo. Durante quattro giorni di gare scenderanno in campo i migliori cavalli e cavalieri per competere in questo CSI che rappresenta il più alto livello tecnico e di difficoltà. La gara clou sarà il Gran Premio che si terrà domenica pomeriggio. È stata data l’ opportunità anche agli amatori ed ai giovani ragazzi di gareggiare nello stesso concorso dei cavalieri professionisti, i loro idoli. La mia ambizione è di offrirvi un evento di altissima qualità, ai massimi livelli sportivi in un ambiente di festa. Vorrei ringraziare tutti i cavalieri, sponsor e spettatori. We are delighted to welcome you to the first edition of the Dolomites Horse Show in Italy. The event will be held in Selva Val Gardena, in the stunning Vallunga, UNESCO world heritage. It is a great opportunity for all the visitors to combine the pleasure of the mountains with the discovery of this breath-taking sport. The idea for this event was born due to my great passion for horses and I wanted to bring a show of international level to my native city, Selva. I’m really proud, that thanks to the Carabinieri, we could realize the event in the Vallunga, a magical and unique location. During the four racing days the best horses and riders will compete against each other in this CSI (national race), which presents the highest level when it comes to technique and difficulty. The highlight will be the Gran Prix, held Sunday afternoon. It will be given the possibility also to the young horse lovers to race in the same competition as the professional riders, their idols. My ambition is it to offer you a show of excellent quality, in a celebrating environment and at the highest levels. I would like to thank all the riders, sponsors and spectators.
