Camillo Castiglioni e il mito della BMW – Camillo Castiglioni and the myth of BMW Nella sala Selva di palazzo Gopcevich una mostra dedicata a Camillo Castiglioni, un grande esponente della finanza europea degli anni ‘20 nonché l’uomo che ha rilanciato la BMW. Un’esposizione da non perdere per tutti gli appassionati dello storico marchio e delle moto: oltre a documenti di archivio, fotografie, giornali d’epoca e oggetti vari, sarà visibile la prima motocicletta costruita dal gruppo, la R32 e, in anteprima assoluta fuori dai musei BMW, il primo motore Klein Boxer M2B15, il primo boxer tedesco montato per lo sviluppo del motore della R32, già nel 1921 sulla Victoria per volontà di Camillo Castiglioni.
The Selva hall, Palazzo Gopcevich plays host to an exhibition dedicated to Camillo Castiglioni, a great European financier in the 1920s and the man who relaunched BMW. All fans of this historical brand and motorbike lovers should not miss this exhibit: besides archive documents, photographs, old magazines and various objects, you will see the first motorbike built by the group, the R32 and a preview, outside BMW museums, of the first Klein Boxer M2B15 engine, the first German boxer assembled for the development of the R32 engine, already in 1921 on Victoria, following the desire of Camillo Castiglioni. Self-Portraits Vivian Maier Dopo la mostra Robert Doisneau, Across the Century in programma fino al 23 giugno, arriva a Trieste l’esposizione dedicata a Vivian Maier, fotografa statunitense, esponente di spicco della street photography e conosciuta e svelata al mondo appena nel 2007 in seguito al ritrovamento di suoi negativi e rullini mai sviluppati. Al magazzino delle Idee si potranno ammirare per la prima volta in Italia circa una settantina di suoi autoritratti.
After the conclusion of the current exhibition Robert Doisneau, Across the Century, open until 23rd June, Trieste will host a second exhibition, this time dedicated to Vivian Maier, American photographer and leading artist within the street photography movement. Her artworks were published only in 2007, two years before her passing, when her film rolls and unprinted negatives were found. Approximately 70 self portrait s will be displayed for the first time in Italy in the prestigious location Magazzino delle Idee.
