Murray Wilcox OAM Congratulations to Leura resident and former Australian Federal Court judge, Murray Wilcox, who was made an Officer of the Order of Australia in the recent Australia Day honours. Murray has been recognised for his service as a judge and law reform commissioner.

Senseless Vandalism The police are asking for any information relating to the damage of the shade trees at Echo Point. The banksia and gum trees have been hacked and poisoned and the tourist centre spray painted with graffiti. Council will attempt to save some of the trees but it is not expected they will survive.The repairs will cost Blue Mountains City Council more than $10,000, which has to be funded from some other program. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000 or Katoomba Police Station on 4782 8199.
