Warragamba Girl Guides Warragamba has a great Girl Guide group for girls aged 7 to 18 years. 2010 is the ‘Year of The Guide’ celebrating 100 years of Guiding so this is a great time to get involved and help local girls become caring, responsible young women. See page 8

Congratulations Chris Chris Farrugia of Silverdale was selected to represent New South Wales in the 2010 Futsal Championships which took place in January at Campbelltown. Chris captained his side, the under 14’s to finish the competition just short of the finals. Well done Chris.

Animal Cruelty

St Marys Police are still investigating the the death of a cockatoo that was found taped to a speed limit sign in Warragamba on Tuesday, 26 January. The body was taken to the RSPCA for a post mortem examination to officially determine how it died. The police are appealing to anyone who might have been travelling on Weir Road, near the intersection of Ninth Avenue, and witnessed any suspicious activity to contact them via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
