New Community Group There was a good turn up last month for the new community group with a new committee formed. The group will focus on positive plans and events for the future as well as dealing with local issues. The new name will be decided on at the next meeting but if you have an idea then please email it through to the editor. There will be a prize for the winning suggestion so think about something to reflect Glenmore Park’s aspirations. The next meeting is the 12th August 7.30pm at the Floribunda Centre.
Scout ‘Job Force’ Prepared To Work Scout Job Month is on again! 1st South Penrith Scouts will be out and about during June and are looking for jobs to do in the commu-
nity for a just reward. It provides an opportunity for the cubs and scouts to learn new skills, to provide a service to the local community and raise funds for their group. Jobs can range from gardening, dusting, to cleaning the car. They can be for individual scouts or can be a project for the whole group. Last year the group was involved in building a bonfire for a 21st birthday party, collecting firewood, delivering pamphlets and gardening. If you have a job suitable for Scouts please contact the Coordinator Leanne Thurston on 4733 6461.

The local winner this month is teenager Sam Smith for her leadership and voluntary work for others. Send your nomination to the editor, details on page 2, so we can all read about it and be proud of something special.
