NSW Fire Brigade Warragamba The Brigade has recently been upgraded with Secondary Response approval and is now able to assist in motor vehicle accidents and elevated rescues, or respond if the Penrith Brigade is unavailable. Half of the staff have already completed the rigorous 8 weeks training with the rest due to take the training. This improved status was a direct result of the local traffic community meeting last year when the previous inadequate situation was highlighted.
Please Note: The Warragamba NSW Fire Brigade (under Emergency Services Information in the Warragamba and Surrounds Community Business and Tourism Directory) should be 4774 1222. Please note this number down in your copy for your convenience. Seniors (those aged 65 years and older) are more likely to be injured or killed in a house fire than any other group. The NSWFB sees it as vital to try to help seniors to reduce the potential for tragic situations in the future. See page 6
