Residents’ Meeting The next meeting is Tuesday 9th November 2010 at 7.30pm at the Floribunda Centre.The group will focus on positive plans and events for the future as well as dealing with local issues. Come along and be a part of this community, to either speak or just listen. The new name still needs to be chosen with a prize available.

International Dairy Award Glenmore Park resident Dr Kasipathy Kailasapathy has recently returned from the US where the American Dairy Science Association presented him with the prestigious award ‘Danisco International Dairy Scientist of the Year.’ Dr Kailasapathy was recognised for his contribution to understanding the health benefits of probiotic bacteria which he has been researching for nearly 20 years. Recording deal for Natasha Local 15 years old student, Natasha Duarte, has just been signed to a record label, Empire Records in Melbourne, to release her album next year Natasha is a singer/songwriter/guitarist and has made a good impression on Molly Meldrum in Melbourne when he invited her to meet him at his house with her Record Label Management. Guide Dog puppy raising volunteers Guide Dogs NSW/ACT is currently seeking volunteer families or individuals in the Penrith region who can provide a caring home for a Guide Dog puppy for a year. The role of Puppy Raisers is to ensure that the pups are toilet trained, walked daily on a lead and introduced to

the sights, sounds and smells they are likely to encounter as a working Guide Dog. The pups will also learn basic obedience training and social skills. See page 12

Town Centre Shops Extension The plans are progressing with the development application soon to be lodged with Penrith Council. There will be a second supermarket, a discount department store and about 32 additional specialty stores. The car park will be increased to over 800 places including under cover parking.
