Articles Oxnard HS Volunteers at Santa’s Workshop
Oxnard PAL hosted Santa's Workshop on December 10th. This event gave children of struggling families the opportunity to participate in Christmas festivities. About twenty Oxnard High School Key Clubbers volunteered, working the cookie decorating station. Members handed out cookies, frosted them, and helped children apply toppings. Article submitted by: Malia Vallender, Oxnard HS Editor
Pacifica HS at Fall Rally South On November 12, 2016 our Key Club members of Division 42-West traveled to Fall Rally to help support the Pediatric Trauma Program, having our members socialize and most importantly giving hugs with other Key Clubbers from all over the regions was a blast, and hearing their chants and seeing that amazing spirit war happened was just a great experience for our new members as well. Happy New Year Foxes! 18
Can you believe we’ve gone this far? 2016 is now over and a new year has sprung up. Did you end 2016 with a joyful end? With the new year comes new opportunities. In a few months time, a new Key Club term is to begin with the newly appointed officers. Are you ready for new year changes? Though it could be a rough start, remember that it will all pay off in the end, just like this year! Anyways, you will always have that one thing that won’t change, the urge to help your community by service. What you learned so far will keep expanding, so will your skills to BEE a leader! Whether this year is your first or last in Key Club, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t at least try your best. Are you familiar with the saying “new year, new you”? That saying is what should drive you to make a change. Want to be better? Set some goals for you and write them down and put them somewhere where you can look at it every day and strive to get to that finish line. At the end of that finish line will be a year filled with memories and the feeling that you’ve accomplished so much, especially those goals you’ve made. Once again, I wish everyone a Happy New Year and I have just one more question for you. Will you make 2017 your best year yet?
