Oxnard High School hosted a Club Rush from September 21-22 during lunch. Our co-president McKayla Dunne created our poster board and promotedtheclubbothdays!Candywasgivenout to people who stopped by our booth and learned moreaboutus.Thankstothis,KeyClubgainedmany new members of all ages who were interested in community service and becoming a member. Special shoutout to our Vice-President Genesis MartinezandmemberBrettHarre, theybothhelped McKayla promote and explain what Key Club is to potential members. Some people even decided to attend RTC which is a huge accomplishment considering they are new. These two days were followed by a meeting in which they were all greeted and officially welcomed! Important news such as Fall Rally and dues were re-explained for them as well. We hope they become great leaders inthefuture.

On September 24, four cabinet and three members attended the Regional Training Conference at Oxnard High School! We had so much fun learning chants from our president and executive assistant Hazel along with listening to presentations about various subjects. My favorite presentation was regarding graphic standards and I appreciated the advice on what media should look like. Another key aspect of RTC were the spirit rallies!D42Wreallyenjoyedbeingputtothetestagainst D42E and D24/29 in our spirit battles and we were sure to give it our all. My first experience with RTC was successful and I am even more excited for Fall Rally than I was before! I was even fortunate enough to win theStarbucksgiftcardfromtheraffle!

This month, since we just barely started in the start of September. I started with a Rock painting. My members and I painted rocks and spread the throughout the community. We wanted to spread a kind message to anyone going through any difficulty, that they know they are loved, and give them courage to continue. We alsomaderockstomakepeoplesmile.

2022, September, 22nd was our first key club meetingduringlunch.Wehadover30students! The President made a presentation and was explainingwhatourexpectationsandgoalsare for the club. In this picture as you can see the new members were doing the pledge of key club. After the meeting they lined up to get tickets for garden market, which is their fundraisertopaytheirdues!
