D28S Social August 27, 2016 Socials are meant for developing friendships and strong bonds between groups of people, and during the Key Club social in Coronado, our schools and other schools have gotten closer, much like a family. We not only had fun by tie-dyeing shirts together, but we also raised an incredible amount of money for PTP. We charged $5.00 per person as an entry fee, so overall, we raised a lot of money. We also
ate a lot of food because it was a potluck as well, and the movie, Finding Nemo, was playing in the background. It was a very fun event where we made many new long-lasting friendships. - Kelsey Neill, Liberty

September DCM September 14, 2016 The September DCM was amazing and informative! Every member got information for events (such as RTC and Fall Rally South). Members and officers got a treat for their birthdays. Clubs got to socialize with their buddies and get to know each other and that made me really happy! This DCM prepared me for RTC, and I can’t wait! I want to thank Jasmin for holding a wonderful meeting and SECTA for giving us pizza! - Hailey Juan, DNE

Welcome Back Messages! Greetings Pandas! The school year finally began which means more interactive service projects and inclusive members coming in! Make sure you spread the word about Key Club and begin fundraising for PTP and any other organizations! Region Training Conference, Fall Rally, CTC, then DCON will be coming up fast, so be prepared on the information given! School is a very exciting experience, especially when it involves Key Club!
- Jasmin Ramirez, Lieutenant Governor
Hello D28S Pandas. This is your EA Bethany ready to serve you and work hard for this term. Beginning of the year can be hectic, stressful and just straight up crazy. Don't worry as Key Clubbers we can preserve. My biggest piece of advice I can give you is even when you're unsure of something ask the people around you. It doesn't even have to be your classmates it can be your key club friends because those people are your Ohana. Put you best foot forward and always believe in yourself especially on your test. Key Club is important but not as important as your education.
- Bethany Girma, Executive Assistant
Welcome back Pandas! I hope you all had a great summer! It's the start of a new school year, and we all know it's going to be busy up ahead. With another year, comes more experiences and services that may improve us as an individual and the community as a whole. If you're struggling, realize that there are a community of people willing to help you. As your division secretary, I and the DLT will, of course, be willing to assist you guys in any we can, whether in regards to turning in MRFs in time, help with service, etc. With that in mind, I wish you luck in your endeavors. Let's make this year count!

Hello Pandas! The school year has begun again, and that means things are kicking up for Key Club as well. Even though you are probably getting loaded down with schoolwork and other fees right now, don't forget about the great opportunities you can find through Key Club! Remember, payments for both RTC and Fall Rally are approaching quickly, so save up your money so that you don't miss out on these fantastic events! Good luck this year, pandas! - Becky Lang, Fall Rally Task Coordinator

Hello everyone! My duties as task coordinator this month to gather all birthdays from each member and compile them in to one record. One of our goals for the Division this year is to ensure all members, whether officers or members, feel recognized within the division. We hope to make each member in Division 28 South feel acknowledged for their achievements within their clubs, whether they are significant accomplishments or smaller accomplishments. I am very excited to meet many new Key Club members this term and I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us! Welcome to the Panda Ohana! Rosie Benito-Dumo, Membership Recognition Task Coordinator

Service Recap. Liberty’s Members help paint and teachers settle into their freshly painted rooms | August 22 - 26 “One week prior to the start of school, a little more than a dozen Key Club members came to help out in Ms. Dodge's classroom. Painting the room itself was a fun job that gave members time to simply catch up with each other after their summer break. Each day, we also took a break accompanied with Little Caesar's pizza and soda. We spent this time together
also playing games and getting to know each other better. The day went by quickly, and by the time we knew it, we'd finished painting the room. This week-long event was definitely an easy way to earn hours required for RTC, which is coming up in October.” - Hannah Felize De Luna, 11

Service Recap. Cont. Stucco Homecoming Hallway Hang | September 16, 2016 “On Friday, September 16th, there were many members who attended the Stucco Homecoming Hallway Hang. Different tasks were given to them as some members helped paint, cut out, and place tape on decorations, while others were hanging up the posters and decorations. Although it was a long, it was a very enjoyable and successful event. The members bonded and got to experience not only teamwork, but also learned more from each other, about Key Club, and what Student Council does, and it was a fun experience!

Spread the Word Nevada Book Cleaning | Green Valley “This past weekend we volunteered at a place called Spread the Word where people come together to help clean books. It was fun because we all got to bond more with each other while we did our service. We played song games and all sang together to pass time as we cleaned. It was awesome to see everyone come together to help the community. - Kylie Teruya, 12
