Hello Orcas! Hello Orcas! Happy holidays! I hope everyone is safe with their families and celebrating this joyous season, especially after those terrible fires that were in our area. If your family was affected by the fires, I hope all is doing okay now and prayers go out to you. With the holidays approaching just a reminder to try and give back to those who are in need and be selfless leaders.

REMINDER: Dues Deadlines have passed, so if your club has not submitted in your dues please do so as soon as possible. This year was full of great memories within the division. So far we have 1,000+ community service hours and have raised $1,000 to the Pediatric Trauma Program. As we approach 2018, let's try to beat those numbers. Missed the opportunity to go to Fall Rally? Want to still have that ultimate Key Club experience? Well you still can! In April 2018, CNH District's District Convention will be happening in Reno Nevada. This is where you can interact with Key Clubbers all over the District, attend informational workshops to better your service/leadership skills, and much more! Now you might be wondering: Why are you mentioning this now when it's not for another 5 months? Well, if you want to attend it would be a good idea to start saving up money so you can get the opportunity to attend. More details will be sent out as the date approaches sooner See you all at the next DCM or division event!

Yours in Service,

Emily Sim

Rose Float Parade

Key Clubbers all in Region 2 gathered together at 6AM to go on a bus to start their day of volunteering. Students nonstop glued, pressed, and cut flowers all day. All of their efforts were put together to make the Rose Float parade floats beautiful and ready to go for New Year's Day.Â

Sp tlight on Service The Spotlight on Service Program is a recognition service that offers a chance for clubs to be featured in the District Newsletter. It provides a unfom infrastructure for clubs to take initiative in becoming involved with local and districtwide organizations that are parallel with the Cali-Nev-Ha District's Major Emphasis - Children: Their Future, Our Focus

JANUARY FOCUS: COMMUNITY OUTREACH Do you have a desire to change your community for the better? Or even want to be more involved around the community? This month, reach out to your local organizations to better YOUR own community. Team up with your school to clean up the campus, help put together a donation drive with the local homeless shelter, or even spend time with the elderly at the local retirement homes. No matter what you do to help locally, make connections to keep in touch for future service events. Helping out locally should not be a one-month effort; make it two months, six months, even one entire year! Let’s go out there and better OUR communities.
