How’s it goin’ Orcas!

Guess what season is it?? If you said Fall, I hope you said Rally after it!!!!! That’s right Fall Rally season is in full swing. I had SO much fun attending FRS last year, so I highly recommend going. Spend this month learning spirit cheers, attending our spirit sessions, and getting hype! Most importantly, GET THOSE PAYMENTS IN! Transportation fees and merchandise must be paid for before the due date, and there will be ZERO leniency for those who are late.

Speaking of seasons, it dues seasons is starting the month of October as well! Dues are super beneficial as they allow you to be eligible for awards, leadership positions, events (FRS & DCON), and makes you an official member.

Follow the directions from your presidents in order to pay. We are halfway through the term which is insane. I just want to say thank you for continuing to be proud Key Club members and participating in service.

Your LTG,

What’s up Orcas?!

I hope getting back into the school groove is getting you excited for one of the biggest Key Club events of the year!: Fall Rally South! In this newsletter, we’ll not only be recapping on September, but there will also be more info about FRS.

Thank you to everyone who attended BakeR-TC! I hope you made many friends and met Key Clubbers from all around Region 1.5. We had around 200 attendees, so imagine what it will be like meeting Key Clubbers from all of Southern California at Fall Rally South?!

Get hyped Orcas, because we’re going to make waves at Fall Rally! Be sure to learn all your spirit cheers in preparation to WIN this year at the Spirit Rally.

Thank you all for all your hard work so far in this term, especially going back to school. Your efforts are not being unnoticed!

Your DNE,

BAKER-TC Region Training Conference 2022

On September 17, 2022, Region 1.5 gathered together at Guajome Park Academy for the very much awaited annual event: Region Training Conference 2022! With a mixed-in bakery theme, Key Club members rose to the occasion by being ready to learn more about Key Club through various workshops and activities. We also got the chance to meet with some head chefs, District Secretary Ashley Park and District Treasurer Marcus Fang, along with IP D37E LTG Irma Gonzalez and IP Circle K

Paradise Division LTG Justin Luc. To end the training conference with a bang, Key Club members joined together in a Karaoke battle. After the beginning of a song was played, team representatives raced to the mic in order to belt out some songs with the rest of their team. It was an awesome Region Training Conference, Orcas! We hope to see Region 1.5 again at Fall Rally South very soon!

Mia Cruz | El Camino

What’s splashing D37W?!?! My name is Mia Cruz and I proudly serve as El Camino’s President for this term! So far this term we have been working really hard with providing our members many service opportunities. We have been able to provide at least 2 online service projects and 1 in service project almost every month for our members! We also have been hosting at least one fundraiser each month to raise money for PTP. And with

11 FRS coming up we are also doing our best to help as many of our members go. So we have been hosting fundraisers to cut the costs of transportation for them. For the rest of the term I hope to start hosting more interclubs or club socials as well as getting members more invested in the upper levels of Key Club. I am very proud of what our club has achieved so far and I believe that our club can thrive and surpass all our goals by the end of this term!
