THE OFFICIAL CALI-NEV-HA KEY CLUB DIVISION 37 WEST NEWSLETTER
THE ORCA Observer
April | VOLUME 3 | ISSUE 1
A MESSAGE FROM YOUR EDITOR/Lt. Governor It's APRIL, Orcas! We've had a wonderful 2018-2019 term, but now, it's time for what I like to call the new wave: our 20192020 term, and I am proud to say that I will be supporting all of Division 37 West for the duration of this movement. Division 37 West has historically been a smaller division within our region, not to mention our district. This year, though, I know we can change that. I will give all of 100% of my effort, and I hope that you will do the same. My goals for this term are to increase the number of dues paid members we have by 30% from the past year and attendance to division, region, and district events by 50%. I hope all of you will work with me to achieve the goals and dreams I have for this division!
Summer is looming on the horizon, but that doesn't mean Key Club activities end! Let's end the school year strong and keep member attendance and participation up. I know this is going to be a great year, orcas, and with that, I'm signing off!
Serving with Love,
ANTONY LIN

DIVISION 37 WEAST ON ICE AND BOBA On Saturday, March 24th, 2019, Key Clubbers from both Division 37 West and Division 37 East participated in an ice-skating social at IcePlex Escondido. The cost for admission may have been $10, but the funds raised and the fun had in exchange were more than worth the entry cost. After a two hour session of skating, a large number of Key Clubbers headed off to the local Tapioca Express for yet another fundraiser. In total, hundreds of dollars were raised for the Pediatric Trauma Program, which works to eliminate fatal cases of pediatric trauma within the Cali-Nev-Ha District, and it seemed like most, if not all, of the members enjoyed this event! Social events like this seem very popular, and we hope to see more of them in the future! - Antony Lin, IP Sage Creek Historian
M C D h s a l p S r o l o C 2 n o i g Re On Saturday, March 30th, 2019, Key Clubbers from the entire Region 2, including Division 21, Division 37 North, Division 37 South, Division 37 East, and Division 37 West, gathered at Kit Carson Park in Escondido. Members were provided with food, played icebreakers that were led by the Lieutenant Governor Elects, planted seeds for donation, and participated in a shortlived, but extremely fun, color war with colored powders and lots of running. This was a wonderful end to a wonderful year, and our members spared no ounce of gratitude toward the Lieutenant Governors. - Antony Lin, IP Sage Creek Historian
