Lieutenant Governor Message Attention all Orcas! This is Lieutenant Governor Karen Mina here! I hope you are all enjoying your summer vacation so far. With school being out, please remember that this is a great opportunity to visit and thank your sponsoring Kiwanis advisor and club. Despite the school year ending, try your best to stay involved within your community! The division you serve will be offering service opportunities at events such as Division Council Meetings (DCMs). Also, be sure to schedule a visitation before the school year starts;Â this way we can prepare for the upcoming school year. For this issue of Pod Publisher, you will read recaps on events your fellow Key Clubbers have participated in within the past month, member recognition for July, and updates on Pod Points. Do not forget that communication is KEY! Stay within the loop during your break by joining our division Remind. Thank you for all that you do! Let's keep up the good work, Pod Squad.

Yours in Service,

Karen Mina

Division 37 West Lieutenant Governor 2018-2019

even Recap:Â june dcmÂ

On Saturday, June 30th, Sage Creek's members headed out to Poinsettia Park alongside other Key Clubbers in the division as well as LTGs from divisions 37W, 37S, and 21. The aim of the event was to raise money for the Pediatric Trauma Program, and this was accomplished by having members pay to pie the LTG or any DLT member of their choosing. Some were able to escape the worst of it with only one pie, but others were doomed with many more. Overall, this was a successful event, as money was raised for a good cause, several LTGs were present, and our members had a great time pieing our DLT members!

EVENT RECAP officer training confrence 2018

article by karen MINA ltg of d37w "On July 7th, Divisions 37 East and West came together to hold our annual Officer Training Conference: MahalOTC. Jellyfishes and Orcas came from all over North County to experience the first big event of the term! During this conference, members attended workshops hosted by both Lieutenant Governors, Division Leadership Teams and a couple Club Executives. These workshops allowed Key Clubbers to further expand their knowledge on Key Club and how to be a better leader. Members also had a friendly competition of fun challenges to complete throughout the event. Overall, OTC was very successful! Thank you to all the Jellyfish and Orcas who came out."

KILLER SERVICE: CARLSBAD TRILATHON

BY Antony Lin from Sage Creek On Sunday, June 10th, Sage Creek Key Clubbers went out to the Carlsbad Triathlon and lent their assistance to the triathlon's racers and managers. Some of our Key Clubbers worked at the water station. They handed out refreshing cups of water to the parched racers as needed. Others assisted with course support. They and others kept the race going smoothly and without a hitch. Overall, this was an extremely successful event not only because our students were able to help out, but also because they had a great time doing it, taking lots of photos and having lots of fun!
