Let’s work together Orcas! MONEY RAISED FOR PTP SERVICE HOURS In order to reach out service hours goal, we need to keep pushing and doing all that we can to serve our communities! To help us reach this goal, I’d suggest setting a personal goal, of perhaps 50 hours or more by January 1st! You got this, and I know we can reach 4500 hrs!
The Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) is one of our preferred charities. PTP’s goal is to prevent all unnecessary injuries and deaths that could’ve been prevented by better safety measures in our communities. As Key Clubbers, let’s do our part to fundraise $4000 for PTP <3
Let’s work hard to push for member recruitment this term! We need to increase our members by atleast 25% this term, but I know we can easily surpass this with all of your hard work! Invite your friends and show your school how amazing Key Club is!

Howdy Orcas! I hope you’ve all had great summers so far and have been able to use your time to relax! As the school year starts, fall season is fast approaching and we must make sure we are prepared! Fall is the busiest season for Key Club, so let’s work hard now to prepare. In Fall, comes RTC, Fall Rally, Club Rush, and dues season preparation. Our biggest priority right now should be Club Rush! With Club Rush, I hope you all are ready to go all out! Let’s show up in spirit gear all day and truly promote Key Club and recruit as many members as possible! Make sure you refer to the Club Rush and Member Recruitment Manual sent out last month :) Finally, I hope you all have been staying physically and mentally healthy. With school coming up, it is especially important to take care of yourself and manage your stress! Love you all bubbies, and I wish the best for you all always.

This fall we have a lot of events coming up so I hope you all will recruit lots of members at Club Rush! You all are doing an amazing job and I look forward to seeing more amazing work from you Orcas <3 Stay safe and healthy be sure to make time to focus on yourself!

Howdy Orcas! I’m Claire Hayashida and I proudly serve Division 37 West as Carlsbad president. I chose to run for president because I love being an officer last year (love my secretaries <3) and felt that leadership in the club could really help me benefit both myself and the community around me. This term, I aim to form bonds within my club to with not only my officers but also my members, and also to increase my membership retention and service participation!
FUN FACTS I have two cats (that I am very attached to)
I plan to study finance in the future
I’m left handed

FAVORITE KEY CLUB MOMENT My favorite key club moment was my first board meeting with my officers. It was so important for us to be comfortable with each other and really helped us to come together as a team to focus on the term ahead.

Officer Training Conference, also known as OTC, is an annual Key Club event. This year, Division 37 West was joined with Division 37 North and East to inspire and educate Key Clubbers. Together, attendees learned what it takes to be a great leader in Key Club and all it’s perks and workings through a series of workshops presented by their peers. As one of the first larger in person events in a while, it was so exciting to see everyone collaborating and building friendships. Packed with lots of helpful information but also tons of fun activities, everyone definitely got to see what the Key Club experience is really like for the first time in awhile. To those who were able to attend this year’s OTC, thank you so much for coming :) We hope you all had an amazing time and retained lots of new Key Club knowledge. Hopefully we will see you at more events in the future!
Division 37 West and the rest of Region 2 (which includes Division 37 North, East, South, and Division 21) gathered for a picnic to have fun, sell food and raise money for PTP! Our division, 37 West, was able to raise over $200 for PTP by selling strawberry daifuku and strawberry cookies, made by several members of our DLT! Key Clubbers got to try foods from the other divisions as well, all while still giving to PTP. After the delicious festivities, everyone participated in other activities like a relay egg balancing race, charades, and a “pass the water” game, where participants had to work together or risk getting water spilt all over them! This event was so much fun all while going to a great cause. Big thanks to everyone who came and supported, and we hope it was a fantastic time!
Our first in person DCM was held on July 31st! With representatives from almost every club attending, we got to hear about how amazing everyone is doing! Our clubs are participating in service, raising money, and even working together with other clubs. After some updates, our spirit coordinators held some fun and engaging icebreakers, in relation to the international event, the Olympics! Key Clubbers worked together to answer some difficult trivia questions, and overall had a great time. We look forward to more in-person DCMs in the future!
