Hello Orcas! Attention fellow Orcas! This is Lieutenant Governor Emily here! Sadly Summer is ending and school is starting, but now the most busy time trying to balance school, extracurriculars, and don't forget Key Club! Make sure to remember that your club needs at least 15 dues-paid members to be an official chartered club. So promote! Advertise! Get the word out there of what Key Club is and what we can do. Thank you to everyone who made it to the Region 2 Picnic. It was a great day for service, food, and friends. Sadly, our attendance number was the lowest out of the entire region. I understand it is summer, but hopefully we can be better and participate more during the school year. Speaking of school year. Remember to breathe. I understand in the beginning it can be stressful trying to balance all of the factors in your life, but I know you can do it! Communication is KEY for a team. Within this newsletter there will be a page about how to receive upcoming dates and events that all members should be informed about so you can all participate in the division. Please share this with your fellow key clubbers to grow our division family! Can't wait to see all my ocras at service projects and key club events coming up! See you all very soon.
Yours in Service,
Emily Sim

Sp tlight on Service The Spotlight on Service Program is a recognition service that offers a chance for clubs to be featured in the District Newsletter. It provides a unfom infrastructure for clubs to take initiative in becoming involved with local and districtwide organizations that are parallel with the Cali-Nev-Ha District's Major Emphasis - Children: Their Future, Our Focus
AUGUST FOCUS: PEDIATRIC TRAUMA PROGRAM This month's focus is to emphasize on Pediatric Trauma Program. The Pediatric Trauma Program, also known as PTP, is one of CaliNev-Ha’s major emphasis within the district. The mission of PTP is to decrease the number of children who are injured or killed due to accidental injuries. These accidents can be prevented by providing resources and proper training. Money fundraised for PTP goes towards proper training for doctors, nurses, first responders, and necessary equipment.
