What’s up, Orcas? Thank you, Orcas, for all of your hard work! I’m so proud of you all for doing your best! Whether you are an officer or a member, I appreciate seeing all of the effort you all put into your clubs! Even if it’s simply joining a meeting or event, we are happy to have you here! I be-leaf in you all! This month, I hope to see you all at our DCM! Look out for upcoming events and keep serving bubbies! <3

Howdy, Orcas! I hope everyone has been doing well! I know there are a lot of stressful things happening, but remember to take care of yourselves. Always remember to eat, drink, and get some rest! Plus, try to make time in your week to do something that makes you happy. <3 It’s college app season! Good luck to all the seniors who are going through this process, you got this! As Thanksgiving is approaching, remember what you are grateful for! Personally, I am really grateful for my best friend! Have a great November, Orcas :) ewew

A Key Clubber from Sage Creek writing an email to a teacher/staff member!

From September 23 to October 7, Sage Creek High School’s Key Club held a service event where students wrote personalized letters to their teachers and staff to express their appreciation for them during this period of online learning. Students are encouraged to send them through e-mail and make them well-written and thoughtful so that they reflect each individual students’ experience with their teachers. Pictures of each email sent are required for members to earn service hours. Three emails would count for one hour, and a maximum of 15 e-mails for five hours of service was given, but participants could’ve written more if they’re willing.

What do I do? From November 1st to 30th, write emails to Kiwanis leaders to express gratitude! Use this opportunity to show how much you appreciate Kiwanians and how much they help us! Remember to stay SafeKey. 1 hour per 3 cards, 10 hours MAX

What is Kiwanis? Kiwanis is an international organization of adult volunteers who help children through fundraising and service projects. The Kiwanis family includes K-Kids, Builders Club, Aktion Club, Circle K, and of course, Key Club! Let’s show our appreciation to the Kiwanians who help us as Key Clubbers!

On October 17th, We held our Fangtastic Fright DCM over Zoom! As per usual, we started with our meeting and a costume contest! After that, we moved onto our service project! For our service project, we created cards for dental workers in breakout groups! After the service project, we had a fun escape room game themed around Halloween! In the end, the event was a blast, and everyone had the opportunity to meet new Orcas! See you at the next DCM!

Thank you Ms. Hamamoto, Ms. Roberts, Mrs. Brian, Mr. Sherman, Mrs. Qualm, and Mrs. Speaks for chaperoning our DCM!
