Become a volunteer to help the Crisis Text Line continue to offer free, 24/7 support for those in crisis. If you’re at least 18 and can commit to volunteering four hours each week, you can apply to be trained for free! https://www.crisistextline.org/become-a-volunteer/

Volunteers assist blind/low-vision people virtually through the Be My Eyes app. As a volunteer you will receive video calls from those who need assistance, and you will help them see something! For example, you may be asked to read an expiration date. https://www.bemyeyes.com/

Contribute to projects transcribing historical documents as a digital volunteer! You can choose from a variety of documents, for example, you can work on projects about African American History. https://transcription.si.edu/

Scan books or proofread them to help people with print disabilities be able to read. Bookshare makes books more available for people who can’t read traditionally. https://www.bookshare.org/cms/get-involved/volunteer

Answer trivia questions to earn beans/rice to donate to the hungry! Create cards for different causes! You can choose to donate to an organization or pick a nearby hospital or fire station to mail thank you cards to.
