Manchoy’s running mate among the Vice Mayorables
Tarlac City - DETERMINED TO run for the Mayoralty Post in 2016 elections, ABC President Allan Manchoy Manalang, beeing seen to be a strong bet for the post, but who will be his running mate is still a jigsaw puzzle that is yet to learn from the completion of the fragmented map of the ABC President tracking its way to the highest post in the City. At the last issue of CL Banat, an article depicting the possible tandem of Councilor Anne Belmonte would hit the pols positively for them have raised some
eyebrows and nod from political spectators in the City. “It can be a strong tandem but the question of party decision has surfaced
due to the fact that Councilor Belmonte belongs to the National People’s Coalition (NPC) and doesn’t belong to the Year 16 No. 19 Central Luzon (Region III), Philippines see page 4

Editorial
Oligarchy Exists WE HATE to be ruled by anybody who doesn’t belong to our race, our predecessors fought and died for the freedom they yearned to be enjoyed by us who are living today, they despised the Spaniards who ruled in our lands in more than three centuries. Jose Rizal wrote books and articles stimulating the minds of the brave and was aroused to revolt. Andres Bonifacio, sharpen his bolo and led the Cry of Balintawak. Apolinario Mabini fought though lame and ashy, Gregorio Del Pilar died in a hill fighting. We must have enough inspirations and reasons to stand brave and aggressive against any aggressors. To go against those who sow fear and terror, to those who wanted us soften with trepidation to make us their slaves. But what happens when we were left on our own? When this country ruled by sharing of power in the Philippine-American Commonwealth, our predecessors were not happy, the presence of the American lords was an image of annoyance, bothersome and exasperating. They wanted to have a country of their own and enjoy the peacefulness of being independent. It cannot be surprising for then Philippine Commonwealth President Manuel L. Quezon to say, “I would rather have a country run like hell by Filipinos than a country run like heaven by the Americans, because however bad a Filipino government might be, we can always change it.” “How bad a Filipino government might be, we can always change it”, with this we must want to believe that Quezon have so much faith in the Filipinos’ capability of changing. Now that we have that independence (as we are celebrating every 12th of June), as we read in the introduction of our constitution assuming sovereignty of governance to our own country, how much trials do we need to endure for us to learn, to finally embrace an appropriate system of governance. A system government that could end the undue influence of the oligarchs and make entrepreneurship becomes the tool for the democratization of wealth and the public money can be free from the control of pseudo servants of the poor. Public funds are to be used as investment that would stimulate economic activity to the communities of the ordinary citizens and those in power will protect these funds siphoned to the pocket of the very few through devious schemes. Destroy Political Dynasties, Kamag-anak Incorporated, Kumpadre Systems, Kainuman Syndicates, ka-Mistah Connections, Hoodlums in robes, Fixscal Schemes and eradicate red tape into its smallest parcels. These we perceive to be possible until Oligarchy ceased to exists.
Off the Air NAGHIHIRAP NGA BA ANG MGA TARLAKENYO?

WHO MAY be contesting for the gubernatorial post comes 2016? I heard a lot of stories and I can’t help pondering on intricacies of our local political system here that is tinted with so many stories of backstabbing incidents. I heard an old story about a candidate and the aid stumbled down and spectators saw that for governor who made it appeared to the the empty bayungs and being curious to what was in people that an accord is already made those bayungs that were brought to the unperturbed between his opponents that they agreed to opponent, he asked the aid and the aid told the poor exercise sobriety in their upcoming fight for spectator that it was a huge amount of money and that the gubernatorial seat. Trusting to the the incumbent has sold his candidacy to his boss. perceive sincerity of the other, the incumbent Then a schemed rumor spread out to the whole governor who was unperturbed that with community that the incumbent governor is no longer the assurance of no dirty tactics that his interested for the position in lieu of the payoff. It became a talk of the town at the market place, at opponent may employ, he went into a relaxed and unpretentious approach to the the cockpit arena and elsewhere in Tarlac electorate convinced with himself for the communities. The incumbent governor was not much backing of the mass majority of the voting aware of the magnitude of the damaging effect that simple gossip could bring to his candidacy. By populace. Few days before the election date, the employing a devious tactic the scheming guy was other guy went to the house of the relaxed proclaimed winner and the trusting incumbent governor governor, along with him was his aid holding resorted to contest the deceitful act in court. He won two bags made of pandan commonly but never redeemed his post. The wily guy teamed up with his comrades in the known as “bayung” in vernacular filled with vegies as his present as a token for an elite class, then called “Alta-Sociedad” and stage a honest and clean battle they are apt to in a new scheme that would look like a win-win solution to the issue. The protesting guy was given an irresistible very near date. The incumbent governor remains offer. Who can resist a cabinet post in Malacañan with composed and calm for he doesn’t expect the honor and opulence of residing with the highest any devious scheme brewing from his man in the land? Whether he grabs it or not, that guest’s mind. Until when they left his house wasn’t told to me.

ANG SABI ng ilang pulitiko, POLITICS IS POWER & MONEY! And every body is aiming for that!

original slate of Mayor Gelacio “Ace” Manalang in the Lakas CMD. Whether she may leave NPC and will join the team of Manchoy Manalang is still a very big question”, a big figure in the NPC camp told the CL Banat. “Politics is a big dance ball and for political reason and establishment of political fortress, changing partners is always possible if the partnership could be beneficial to both in the pursuit of getting the bucks as the saying goes, in politics the only permanent thing is interest and in the interest of winning a political enemy can produce a good chemistry to enthuse the taste of the voting populace” then a new friendship can be commence and will give birth to a stronger alliance, another spectator told the CL Banat.
From among the Vice Mayoralty wannabes are Councilor Glenn Troy Caritativo, showing high enthusiasm to take the helm of the Sanggunian, who belong to the same party with the ABC President. How much enthusiasm could Councilor Caritativo could display is but a big help boost his political strenght knowing that from the same roof, Councilor Jojo Briones is also aspiring to regain the post once again. Last termer Board member Joji David was also aiming for Vice Mayorable post. He is waiting and courting for the beacon to point to him, how about Councilor Noel Soliman, also a former Vice Mayor who can make a good impact in
the consolidation of forces and another last termer Board Member Henry De Leon, who are known to have a strong backing from his bailiwicks at the east district of the City and elsewhere. “The best is yet to come”, said one relaible source from the ABC President’s Camp, who will be the final option of the team will be separated from the midst of the wannabes. We can always expect the unexpected, until the beacon light will point to the strong one. This developing notion crystalizing the perception to be the strongest bet for the City’s highest post comes 2016 elections, ABC President Allan “Manchoy” Manalang is making a good show in the unfolding events of the race. - ACP
