EDITORYAL SA PAGKAMATAY NG SAF 44 SINO ANG MAY SALA Ang mga otoridad, sundalo man o pulis ay dapat nakahanda sa anumang maaaring mangyari sa kanyang buhay. Ito ang pinili niyang tungkulin, ang maging mandirigma laban sa kasamaan o lumalaban sa gobyerno. Subalit kung minsan ang mga mandirigmang ito ay nagagamit sa kasamaan ng ilang namumuno sa pamahalaan o yung may personal na interes. Sa pagkamatay ng 44 na miyembro ng PNP Special Action Forces (SAF) tila nagmadali sila sa paglusob, na hindi pinagplanuhan ng maayos. Dapat ay naging maingat sila sa kanilang mga hakbang, dahil hindi basta-basta ang kanilang huhulihin, isang international terrorist na nasa kuta ng mga miyembro ng MILF. Bagamat may tigil putukan ang pamahalaan at MILF, subalit ang isang kuta ng langgam na lulusubin mo ng walang paalam, tiyak na lalanggamin ka. Ito ang hindi sumagi sa isip ng mga pinuno ng ating pamahalaan na nag-atas sa mga PNP SAF na hulihin si Manwar. Nagmadali silang makuha ang pakay na hindi inalintana ang maraming buhay na posibleng masawi sakaling pumalpak ang kanilang mga plano, kung ito’y pinagplanuhan pa! Ano nga ba ang tunay na dahilan, una ang pakikialam ng suspendidong pinuno ng pulisya o ang milyong dolyar na nakapatong sa ulo ni Manwar. Alinman sa mga ito ang maging katugunan, ang tiyak natin maraming pamilyang umiyak sa pagkamatay ng 44 ng pulis dahil sa kakulangan ng plano at pagmamadali sa isinagawang raid. RDC endorses construction of new Sta. Cruz Public Market via Design-Build-Transfer scheme CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, February 3 (PIA) — Regional Development Council (RDC) has given the green light for the construction of a new public market for Sta. Cruz town in Zambales under the Design-Build-Transfer scheme of the Build-OperateTransfer law. “The P171 million infrastructure shall have 432 stalls at its dry section with a floor area of 3.60 square meters for each stall. Surrounding these stalls will be 28 air-conditioned spaces with each floor area ranging from 17-44 square meters,” RDC Vice Chair and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Director Severino Santos said. “The private sector shall be invited to participate as investor through the designing of the entire plan and subsequently constructing the market itself,” Santos added.
