EDITORYAL MARSO NA WALA PANG BUDGET ANG TARLAC CITY Ano na naman kaya ang dahilan at na delay ng todo ang budget ng Tarlac City Government? Ang gobyernong walang budget, hindi ba mahirap ‘yun? Sino ang may sala, sino ang nag-delay? Puro katanungan lamang ang ating masasabi dahil kapwa nakausap natin ang chief executive na okay naman ang kanyang kuwento at paliwanag, ang lahat umano ng kailangan ng Sangguniang Panlungsod ay kanilang pinagkakaloob. Sukdulang dalhin pa sila sa Baguio para pare-parehong malamig ang ulo. Sabi naman ng mga konsehal at Vice Mayor hindi raw sila nasusuplayan ng tamang dokumento at impormasyon para matapos na ang budget, kaya panay ang kanilang rebisa sa mga dokumento. Ano ba talaga ang tunay na dahilan? Naghihinala ang kampo ni Mayor Manalang na sadyang pinatatagal ang pagaproba upang ma-delay ang kanyang mga nakalinyang proyekto, at upang sa kanya magalit ang taong bayan. Dahil ang mga konsehal umano na majority ay ka alyado sa pulitika ni Governor Vic Yap na napapabalita rin tatakbong Mayor ng Tarlac City sa 2016. Katunayan umano namili na ng mga lupain o residential land si Yap sa Tarlac City upang ma-justify na siya ay residente ng Tarlac City ay hindi ng Victoria na siya niyang pinagmulan. Ayaw namang aminin ng mga konsehal na kakampi ng governador na sila’y minamani-obra ni gob sa isyu ng pondo. Talaga lang bang matagal mag-aproba ng budget ang mga baguhang konsehal? Baka naman hindi nila alam ang kanilang gagawin o ang kanilang trabaho? Sabi ng ilang nagmamasid, madalas daw silang wala kaya di natutuloy ang kanilang mga sesyon. Kawawang Tarlac City dahil sa pulitika o sa kawalang kaalaman sa tamang trabaho ng mga baguhang konsehal ay mawawalan ng karapatang makatamo ng mga serbisyo mula sa pamahalaan. Saan kaya patungo ang ating lipunan kung lagi na lang ganito ang kahihinatnan ng ating mga kabataang nagsipagtapos? Hindi biro ang magpaaral sa college, halos dumugo ang ilong ng mga magulang sa pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan ng mga bata sa tuwing papasok sa paaralan, tapos mauwi lang sila sa pagkatambay sa kanto dahil walang mapasukang trabaho. Wala bang gagawin ang ating pamahalaan upang matulungan ang mga kabataang ito? TCFS, city gov’t hold Fire and Rescue Olympics TARLAC CITY (CIO) – The Tarlac City Fire Station, in partnership with the City Government of Tarlac, held a one-day Fire and Rescue Olympics for high school students with the theme: “Kaligtasan sa Sunog: Alamin, Gawin at Isabuhay Natin”. The activity was conducted on March 4 at the Tarlac City Plazuela in line with the observance of the Fire Prevention Month. BARANGAY from p.3 Brgy. Chairman Villanueva, in his message, cited and thanked the help and support of Mayor GelacioManalang, Association of Barangay Chairmen President Allan M. Manalang, the CHOEHSU staff, Non-Government Organizations and the people of San Carlos. The search was organized by the DOH in order to promote proper sanitation among the barangays in the country and it provided the indicators in order to choose for the best barangay which will be a model for proper sanitation practices. These indicators are Coverage of household with sanitary toilets, Coverage of households with access on safe water supply, Improvement in sanitary toilet coverage during the final evaluation and validation, Approved barangay budget for water and sanitation projects in two years and other local sanitation initiatives. DOH is implementing various programs and projects aligned in meeting and achieving the targets of the country in the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) on Sanitation. During the occasion, the city was conferred as Outstanding in the region for the Measles Rubella – Oral Polio Vaccine Mass Immunization (MR-OPV MI)in recognition to the city’s accomplishment during the mass immunization activity wherein 95% of children wereimmunized. The award was received by Dr. Go and Cristine Enriquez bringing home a plaque and a cash prize of P50,000. Notable personalities during the occasion were Dr. LeonilaGorgolon, CHD 3 Director; and Nestor Santiago, DOH Region 4A Director and representative of Health Secretary Janette Garin.
