he Central Valley of California is a fertile area for hunters, fisherman, boaters, off-roaders, motorcycle enthusiasts and RV lovers. This show is one of the largest RV Shows in the Western United States, the Central Valley’s largest boat show, and the best fishing show in Central California. The Fred Hall Central Valley Sports Show is a very large event with over 300 boats and RVs on display and hundreds of booths inside and outside of three big buildings. It has traditionally been a very good fishing and hunting travel show.

In the spring of 1946 Fred Hall produced his first show at Gilmore Stadium in Los Angeles near the world famous Farmers Market. On that rainy spring weekend no one could have imagined what would happen to the Fred Hall Shows in 2018.

The 2018 Fred Hall Shows were so successful that it is difficult to paint an adequate picture of these astounding events. International factories, major retailers, boat dealers, boat manufacturers and destination resorts all reported that previous sales records for these shows were smashed before we got to the weekends. Record crowds produced record sales. In some cases, sales records were so phenomenal that it is unlikely they’ll be broken anytime soon.

The Fred Hall Shows dominate outdoor recreation marketing in Southern California. We communicate with more potential customers than any other advertising medium through the use of TV, Radio, billboards, direct mail, newspapers, periodicals, e-marketing and social media. That is how we have built the finest shows of our kind in the world. Therefore, it was not surprising to see record crowds, we often see record crowds. What was surprising was the level of passion displayed by our attendees for fishing, hunting, boating and outdoor recreation.

Our motto is that we want to “Celebrate the Passion of Fishing, Hunting, Boating and Outdoor Recreation.” We are good at communicating that idea and in “celebrating the passion.” But in 2018 it went even farther…a good economy, more favorable political conditions for anglers and hunters and great fishing conditions in Southern California produced the “perfect storm” for the Fred Hall Shows. They were so good that they were basically beyond description. If you weren’t there we are sorry and if you were there then we want to thank you for being a part of the Greatest Fred Hall Shows in history!
