As an Independent Beauty Consultant, it is important for you to learn, practice and live the habits and traits of doing the Power 10: 3+3+3+1 in your Mary Kay business. WHAT IS POWER 10?

MORNING: Plan and communicate for your next class.

Prepare your "6 Most Important" list for the week. Always have a positively polished morning plan. Make it a habit to check your email as the Company regularly sends updates and posts new information on its website.

Book at least 3 skin care classes and/or major color makeover session every week. Booking is setting the appointment to share the product at a facial or a skin care/color class. Turn your guests into hostesses to ensure your continuous bookings.

Coach your skin care class hostesses before the skin care class. Offer your hostesses makeup and styling tips. Introduce to them the One Woman CanTM Beauty Contest. Assist your hostesses in taking their before (makeover) photo. Follow up with color makeover session and take an after (makeover) photo. You may assist them in uploading their photos in the One Woman CanTM Beauty Contest website.

AFTERNOON: Time to go out and do what you do best!

Have at least 3 after sales appointment/ customer service every week. Provide great customer service, like do a personalized delivery service or check out on the progress of their skin care regimen. Call, email or visit some of your regular customers to follow up for orders and introduce the One Woman CanTM Beauty Contest and the latest Mary Kay® products.

Conduct at least 3 team building appointments every week. Once you have identified a potential team member in one of your skin care/color classes, you may set an appointment to let her know the beauty of the Mary Kay opportunity. Also, regularly keep in touch with your team members and invite them to collaborate with you in executing a big group of skin care classes or color makeover sessions.

Manage your product inventories. Make sure you have adequate stocks of the regularline and latest Mary Kay® products. Remember to practice the first-expiry, first-out method of managing inventory. This should help you move out products before their expiration dates. See page 19 for more details.
