Joyce loving it and living it somewhere out on the road behind her baaaaby! Left: Joyce and Red. Joyce always had a smile on her face.

Joyce could always be found beside her man, Daniel Bass. He was always “Red” to me so that is how I will refer to him here. They were like a twin engine on a Harley-Davidson...always side by side, connected at the hip, making that beautiful rumble together! She loved riding shotgun with Red, (while he worked), on his big truck all across this great country! And did they ever see a lot of it together! They made lots of friends everywhere they went and folks never forgot either one of them wherever they stopped! Joyce was an amazing cook and always had an awesome meal waiting for Red when he returned home from his job on the road. Many of her friends and some family called her, “Ma.” She treated everyone how she wanted to be treated and had the kindest of hearts! Joyce loved riding motorcycles. She loved riding motorcycles with her friends. But most of all she loved riding behind her “baaaaaby” on the back of his bike! They rode everywhere together, for all kinds of charities, weekend rides, and of course, they always rode to the taco truck. Joyce loved tacos! So much that Red and her friends had a taco truck at her celebration of life! At Joyce’s celebration of life were many close friends, family, and the guys from the 13th NC Latham Battery saluting her by firing their Civil War era cannon!

Many are mourning the loss of Joyce and they will feel empty for some time, especially Red. Joyce touched so many during her time here and gave everyone wonderful memories to charish. ~Doobie She will be terribly missed. We love you, Red!
