CHAPTER 6 1So w hen men began to be multiplied upon the earth, and there w ere daughters born unto them 2Then the sons of God (Those who walk upright) saw the daughters of men (that came of the wicked, CHAPTER 6

as of Cain) that they w ere fair (beautiful outward, vain) and they took them w ives of all that they liked (Or, choose). 3Therefore the Lord said, My spirit shall not alw ays strive w ith man (free will, but because of our human nature, he's CHAPTER 6

pretty much given us in to our own desires) because he is but flesh, and his days shall be an hundred and tw enty years (W hich is the term length) God gave man to repent before he w ould destroy the earth. *1 Peter 3:20 W hich CHAPTER 6

were in time passed disobedient, when once the long suffering of God abode in the days of Noah, while the Ark was preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved in the water. 4There w ere giants (tyrants) in the earth in those days: yea, and after CHAPTER 6

that the sons of God (mighty men, godly men) came unto the daughters of men (daughters of the wicked), and they had borne
them
children.
5W hen the Lord saw that the w ickedness of man w as great in the earth, and all CHAPTER 6

the imaginations of the thoughts of his heart w ere only evil continually, (Hebrew, every day) *Genesis 8:21 And the Lord smelled a savor of rest, and the Lord said in his heart, I will henceforth curse the ground no more for man’ s cause: for the CHAPTER 6

imagination of man’ s heart is evil, even from his youth: neither will I smite anymore all things living, as I have done. *Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false testimonies, slanders. 6Then it repented the Lord CHAPTER 6

(Made him sorry,) that he had made man in the earth, and he w as sorry in his heart. (God doesn't repent, but he speaks after our capacity, because he did destroy him, and in that as it were did disavow him to be his creature). 7Therefore the Lord said, I CHAPTER 6
GENESIS
w ill destroy from the earth the man, w hom I have created, from man to beast, to the creeping thing, and to the fow l of the heaven: for I repent that I have made them. (God declared how much he detests/loathed sin, seeing CHAPTER 6
GENESIS
the punishment extended to the brute of the beasts). 8But N oah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. God w as merciful unto him. 9These are the generations Or, history of N oah: N oah w as a just and upright man in his time: CHAPTER 6
GENESIS
and N oah w alked w ith God. 10And N oah begat three sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth. 11The earth also w as corrupt before God: for the earth w as filled w ith cruelty. (Meaning, that all were Noah and the flood given to the CHAPTER 6
GENESIS
contempt of God, and oppression of their neighbors). 12Then God looked upon the earth, and behold, it w as corrupt: for all flesh had corrupted his w ay upon the earth. 13And God said unto N oah, An end of all flesh is come before CHAPTER 6
GENESIS
me I w ill destroy mankind: for the earth is filled w ith cruelty (Or, oppression and wickedness) through them: and behold, I w ill destroy (Hebrew, from the face of them) them w ith the earth. 14Make thee an Ark of pine CHAPTER 6
GENESIS
(Hebrew, Gopher) trees: thou shalt make cabins Hebrew , nests. in the Ark, and shalt pitch it w ithin and w ithout w ith
pitch.
15And
thus
shalt thou make it (Or, of this measure): the length of the Ark shall be three hundred CHAPTER 6

cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. 16A w indow shalt thou make in the Ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above, and the door of the Ark shalt thou set in the side thereof: thou CHAPTER 6
GENESIS
shalt make it w ith the low , second, and third room. (That is, of three heights) 17And I , behold, I w ill bring a flood of w aters upon the earth to destroy all flesh, w herein is the breath of life under heaven: all that is in CHAPTER 6
GENESIS
the earth shall perish. 18N oah and his are preserved in the Ark, w hich he w as commanded to make. 18But w ith thee w ill I establish my covenant, and thou shalt go into the Ark, thou, and CHAPTER 6

sons,
GENESIS
and thy w ife, and thy sons’ w ives w ith thee. To the intent that in this great enterprise and mockings of the
w hole
w orld,
thou
mayest be conformed, that thy faith fail not. 19And of every CHAPTER 6
living
thing
of
all
GENESIS
flesh tw o of every sort shalt thou cause to come into the Ark, to keep them alive w ith thee: they shall be male and female. 20Of the fow ls, after their kind, and of the cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of CHAPTER 6
GENESIS
the earth after his kind, tw o of every sort shall come unto thee, that thou mayest keep them alive. 21And take thou w ith thee of all meat that is eaten: and thou shalt gather it to thee, that it may be meat for thee CHAPTER 6
GENESIS
and for them. 22N oah *Hebrew 11:7 By faith Noah being warned of God of the things which were as yet not seen, moved with reverence (awe) prepared the Ark to the saving of his household, through the which Ark he condemned the world, and was made heir of the CHAPTER 6
GENESIS
righteousness, which is by faith therefore did according unto all that God commanded him: even so did he. (That is, he obeyed God’ s commandment in all points without adding or diminishing)
