ike many of you, in mid-February we were at the Drag Specialties NVP Product Expo in Louisville, KY. Wow, what a great event! The expo spanned over 88,000 square feet with more than 240 exhibitors, including 25 first time vendors. The Drag Specialties event team really made it a complete event with two days of rep training, followed by two show days for dealers, a really cool Meet & Greet at the Sports & Social Club in Louisville’s famous 4th Street Live Entertainment District, and new this year was a fashion show, produced in-house, with 15 brands involved including Alpinestars, Icon, Z1R and others. Where Drag shows used to be all about Harleys, it was great to see so many of the new generation of Indian motorcycles at Louisville. Indian is so well represented now by Drag vendors that a dedicated catalog has been produced. In this issue you can read about what you’re likely to find in the catalog with that colorful motorcycle on the cover. Colorful? Of course, its colorful. It was built by Jon Kosmoski, the founder of the legendary House of Kolor! Another legendary topic in this issue is the story starting on page 62 about Colombia Motorcycle Harley-Davidson in Vancouver, Washington. Be sure to read about how Jennifer Kreofsky-Rodgers and her husband Jason Rodgers are keeping the family tradition going that got started in 1947 by her grandfather Emil Kreofsky. It’s a great store and they are a great Drag Specialties dealer that we are honored to feature in our magazine.
In this issue you can learn details of the 2019 Drag Specialties Training Tour, a series of six training events each in four regions of the country. Each stop on the tour will include participation from five different vendor companies. Be sure to get with your Drag rep to get signed up for the event in your area. And speaking of signing up, it’s time to get on the list for 2019 Drag Dealer Ride! Tucson, AZ is the home base this year. Hope to see you there! ■

Biltwell Donates Helmets for Rider Training
B
iltwell Inc. has donated 1,800 helmets to the National Motorcycle Safety Fund for use at Motorcycle Safety Foundation-recognized Rider Training Sites.
“We had an extra quantity of our Gringo and Gringo S model helmets sitting in inventory and realized we could put them to better use by donating them for use at MSF training sites, which would improve the students’ experience,” said Mike Ellis, Biltwell’s general manager. Training sites have a constant need to replenish their stock of helmets, which are used every weekend by first-time students who take the MSF Basic RiderCourse at over 2,000 locations around the country. With Biltwell’s consent, the MSF is selling the helmets to the training sites at a nominal cost, with all proceeds going to the National Motorcycle Safety Fund. The NMSF is MSF’s 501(c)(3) charitable division which has funded crash research, motorcycle safety videos and publications, alcohol and drug education programs for motorists, and other initiatives aimed at creating a safer riding environment for all motorcyclists.
“We always strive to provide the safest and best motorcycle training experience available, and, like motorcycle riding itself, it all starts with putting on a good helmet,” said Diane Howells, president of Motorcycle Safety School, Inc., of Brooklyn, NY. “We are grateful to Biltwell for their ongoing support of motorcycle training.” MSF president Tim Buche welcomed Biltwell’s donation. “This type of donations enables multiple win-win situations” he explained. “The training sites, with their limited budgets, can upgrade their helmet inventory at little cost. Students can enjoy wearing fresh, modern helmets during the handson course. NMSF gains funding for future research and outreach projects. And, Biltwell gets the tax benefits of a charitable contribution.” ■
»» Buche suggested that other companies and individuals visit the NMSF website – https://nmsfund.org – and consider a donation to further motorcyclist safety.

COBRA GOES BIGGER NEW PRODUCTS FOR THE NEW YEAR
F
or V-twin dealers and their customers, this is an exciting time. Harley-Davidson’s range of new motorcycle models is as strong as ever, with those newer Milwaukee Eight bikes joining the myriad of machines from the Motor Company already out on the road. In an attempt to reach all of those customers – on bikes new and old – the team at Cobra has continued to develop and produce a growing lineup of fantastic exhaust systems and accessories for your Harley-riding customers. In fact, Cobra’s 2019 product line has expanded to include more products for current and older model applications. Cobra’s newest offering is the 2-into-1 Turnout, one more example of the high-quality product made available this year. It’s a short turnout 2-into-1 with a machined aluminum black tip. The tip features carved alluvial dual cuts giving it a contrast to the black finish.
Fitments are for Baggers from 2009 to 2016, and for the new Milwaukee-Eight Touring bikes, 2017 to present. It is available in chrome with a black tip, or black with the same black tip. “When we began our development work on this system, there were three things we saw a critical for its success,” says Tim McCool, Cobra Engineering president. “First it had to look great. Second, it had to work with extended bags. And third, it had to perform as well as our existing 2-into-1 systems. I think this system more than delivers on each of those elements.” The collector is covered by a large, formed heat shield embossed with the Cobra logo, but it’s what’s hidden beneath that head shield that makes this system really perform. The entire muffler body can rotate up to 10-degrees up from standard as well as up to 10-degrees downward, continued on page 21...

Now the company expanded that Neighbor Hater lineup to include three new 4-inch models with fitments for 2017 and newer Milwaukee-Eight powered Baggers. These new additions are brand-new styles for the NH range of mufflers. This is great news for customers who are looking for a broader selection of Neighbor Hater selections from which to choose. This is important news for riders of the latest Baggers who might be reluctant to change out their stock head pipes, yet still want an exhaust sound that’s throatier than stock. In addition, Cobra has produced a full line of 3-inch Neighbor Hater slip-ons for Sportsters, Dynas and the older Softails. It even has offerings for the 19962003 Sportster.

The original Neighbor Hater with its distinctive bell shape was an instant hit. However, customers wanted more design options.
The Dual Cut muffler was the first NH addition to the series. With its deep cut tips is has a sophisticated look, but when it’s fired up it’s all NH.
In its 3-inch NH line, Cobra includes fitments for 1996-2003 Sportsters.
giving the rider ample adjustment for finding the perfect angle for their particular set up. “We knew it would be easy to make this a great looking and sounding exhaust system, but we wanted it to make power,” McCool adds. “It’s now right there with our standard 2-into-1 for the Baggers, so we’re thrilled with how this turned out.” ■

LOUISVILLE NVP PRODUCT EXPO

avvy dealers know that late winter is no time to sit back with their feet up, waiting for the sales season to start. Nope, the smart money is on getting the early scoop on the products and programs that are going to keeps sales ringing for the rest of the year.
Apparently, the promise of seeing the hottest new products from more than 240 leading vendors – including 25 brands that were new to the Expo – and the opportunity to get a detailed education on select product lines proved to be a major attraction.
The place to find all that action? The Drag Specialties Spring NVP Product Expo, and this year’s inaugural launch at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville was a banging success as dealers and sales reps from around the country packed in to see the latest and greatest.
At more than 88,000 square feet, this Spring NVP was the largest Expo ever put on by the LeMans Corporation, and that added show space not only allowed for larger displays showcasing all those hot new products, it also helped to accommodate the record number of attendees and hosted the NVP’s first ever fashion show.

Right from the get go, the Drag Specialties NVP Product Expo was all about delivering essential information about the vendors and products that fill the FatBook and OldBook. On the Thursday and Friday before the show opened, Drag Specialties’ army of sales reps, sales managers and LeMans personnel received intense sales and product training from such vendors as Bassani Xhaust, Coastal Moto, Cobra, Custom Dynamics, Drag Specialties branded products, Feuling, Galfer, Klock Werks, LA Choppers, Legend Suspensions, Magnum Shielding, Rekluse, S&S Cycle, and Z1R.

All that detailed education didn’t end there. Some early Saturday morning sessions for reps and dealers alike included seminars from Alpinestars, Icon, LePera, Metzeler, and TecMate. All of these events were just a prelude to the grand opening of the show floor, where dealers enjoyed expanded Expo hours all weekend for getting ample time to visit exhibitors and see the newest products. Saturday’s show ended with a dealer happy hour and the inaugural 2019 Spring Apparel Fashion Show. A range of male and female models – including a handful of Drag Specialties and Parts Unlimited sales reps – showcased new collections from more than15 brands, including Arctiva, Biltwell, Icon, Moose Racing, Slippery, THRASHIN Supply Co., THOR, and Z1R. Given a busy schedule like this, the collective powersports industry group attending the show headed over to the Sports & Social Club in the heart of Louisville’s 4th Street Live! district for the now iconic LeMans Meet & Greet. Attendees enjoyed food, drinks, games, robust camaraderie and the Arlington Supercross on more than 60 TVs.
“Our first year in Louisville could not have gone better. Thank you to the dealers, vendors and our team for working the weekend with us,” says Jeff Derge, LeMans Corporation’s vice president of sales. “This show is such an important part of improving our industry. “There are so many great new products on the market this year, the dealers spent quality time talking with the vendors and reps to really get an understanding of these products. In the end the dealers that attended will deliver a better shopping experience for every customer that enters their stores.”
Sunday found the convention center expo hall just as packed as dealers finished up their rounds with the assembled vendors. At the closing of the show, one lucky vendor – John O’Brien of Hardcore Cycles – won a trip to the 2019 Drag Specialties Dealer Ride in Tucson, Arizona. “What a way to kick off the 2019 season. I’ve never felt such enthusiasm and optimism from dealers, vendors and reps,” says Mike Collins, president of LeMans Corporation. “We all need events like this as a reminder as to why we are in this business. It was a fantastic gathering and we’ve set the bar high for our next event.”

ig Shots Staggered exhausts have long been a Vance & Hines favorite on Harley-Davidson Softails, especially for those Deluxe and Heritage models. Offering the best of both worlds, these long, low and beefy 2-into-2 style pipes look and sound fantastic. With Vance & Hines at the helm, you know that the Big Shot Staggered pipes offer more than style. Thanks to the clever inclusion of the Vance & Hines Power Chamber – a hidden crossover system that assists with exhaust-flow scavenging – the twin-staggered Big Shots serve up genuine 2-into-1-style performance.
All this is now available for the Milwaukee-Eight Softails with applications covering most of the models in the 2018 and 2019 lineup, with the exception of the Breakout, Fat Boy and FXDR. Installation on the Sport Glide and Heritage models requires a separate saddlebag mount kit. The Big Shots Staggered system is available chromeplated or in black. There are one-piece full-length heat shields, straight- or slash-cut CNC machined chrome endcaps and inside there’s the Vance & Hines louvered-core baffles with optional quiet baffles available. Available in chrome or wrinkle-black with Milwaukee-Eight Softail applications, this high-capacity, deep-breathing air filter features a K&N Xstream filter top, a free-flowing design developed for racing. The filter element is washable and reusable, and is encased in a sleek CNC machined billet cover that’s secured with race-spec ARP bolts. The VO2 Rogue’s backing plate comes with an included venturi to better direct the airflow and a breather assembly to keep things tidy.
Customers looking for a complete free-flowing performance upgrade should check out the Vance & Hines Fuelpak FP3. The Fuelpak FP3 is a straightforward, cost-effective and easy-to-use tuning solution that can custom-tailor the mapping for 2007 and up Delphi-equipped HarleyDavidson Touring, Softail, Dyna and Sportster models. Sometimes the choice is simple, sometimes it isn’t. One of the many choices that must be made is, of course, which tire to use. Michelin hopes to make that one of the easier decisions for you customers by offering specific tires for specific Harley-Davidson models and riding styles. The Michelin Commander II and the Scorcher line, including the Scorcher 11, 21, 31 and 32, are all designed for the V-twin market. Michelin offers an information guide to make it easy to identify the proper Scorcher tire for your customer’s Harley-Davidson application. You can get a printed copy from your Drag Specialties rep, but in the meantime, here’s a quick rundown of Michelin’s V-twin tire lineup. The Michelin Commander II was designed and engineered to fit a wide range of cruiser models, from heavy FL bikes to the lighter FX models. Not only can the tire support a cruiser’s bulk, but it has also been designed to enhance its handling and all-weather performance. Commander II tires are long wearing, and deliver consistent traction on wet and dry surfaces to ensure a stable, nimble ride with excellent feedback. Michelin says that consumers have reported getting up to 20,000 miles or more on a rear Commander II tire. That’s a lot of road trips.

The Michelin Commander II was designed and engineered to fit a wide range of Harley-Davidson models, from heavy FL bikes to the lighter FX models.
The longevity of the Commander II is due to a combination of the rubber compound and the design. The computeroptimized tread is designed to minimize wear while maximizing the contact patch for the best possible grip. When it rains, the grooves efficiently siphon water away from the points where the rubber meets the road to ensure continued adhesion. The tread pattern is optimized to help the tire wear evenly across the entire profile, too. The Michelin Commander II is available in 33 different sizes. The Scorcher line was co-developed and co-branded with Harley-Davidson back in 2007, marking the first time that Michelin teamed up with an OEM to co-develop a tire. That initial collaboration has grown into the current line of four Scorcher styles, totaling 29 different sizes.
MICHELIN
Every new Street Rod comes with the Michelin Scorcher 21 tire. While the Scorcher 11 has roadracing DNA, the Scorcher 21 shares genes with hypersport tires. The Scorcher 21 is designed to have a light, nimble feel for exceptional handling characteristics. The rubber compound includes a healthy dose of silica for excellent grip in the wet.
Michelin had touring in mind when engineering the Scorcher 31 – it was designed for exceptional handling on winding roads, outstanding tread grip in both wet and dry conditions and the casing is designed for more riding comfort even on long days in the saddle. The Scorcher 31 is an all-around, all-weather tire for almost any conditions your customers might encounter on a touring excursion. Rounding out the Scorcher family is the Scorcher 32, which was designed for the Fat Bob. Built to complement that brawny looking Softail, these tires have an aggressive reverse tread design and generously grooved tread patterns. Those grooves and the advanced rubber compound create a tire that not only looks good, but also delivers excellent traction in both wet and dry conditions. The long-wearing tread is designed to wear evenly for a long, predictable life. ■

The Scorcher 11 is OE on Street, Sportster, Softail and V-Rod models. Michelin’s radial technology is combined with a tread pattern designed to perform in both wet and dry conditions. The semi-slick tread pattern maximizes the contact patch for great grip in the dry, and the grooves are optimized to evacuate water for optimal wet-weather riding. Real Power
Introducing the SuperStreet 2-Into-1
I
f there’s one constant theme for your Harley-Davidson customers looking for performance upgrades it’s this – they want a real-deal product that makes real power, and they want it to look good doing so.
That’s where the research and development team at S&S Cycle and its new SuperStreet 2-into-1 system comes into the equation. Recognizing that short-tract, shield-free systems kill bottom end while running very hot, the team took a different tack in the search for usable power. Given that S&S doesn’t build anything that doesn’t make power, the team leaned on the company’s more than 60 years of influential history of manufacturing performance to come up with the design for the SuperStreet and the numbers speak for themselves. Designed for the range of Harley-Davidson MilwaukeeEight Softails, the SuperStreet was built to provide a 15 percent increase of horsepower (86hp to be exact,) and a 10 percent bump in torque (measuring 110 lb./ft. on the dyno) over the stock arrangement.
The new SuperStreet 2-into-1 exhaust from S&S Cycle hits that performance trifecta that your customers want – power, looks, and sound.
Better yet, S&S Cycle has produced an exhaust system featuring the precise length and angle to clear saddlebags and passenger pegs. With the addition of an S&S brake pedal kit, the SuperStreet will work with mid-mount controls. The system features a stainless-steel header, and has full heat shields on both the front and rear headers. A stylish, multi-faceted machined end cap rounds out the overall appearance. The SuperStreet also features an adjustable exhaust note thanks to the dB reducer insert. There it is – the trifecta of power, looks, and sound.

TRAINING TOUR
More Knowledge, More Fun The 2019 Drag Training Tour
In addition to giving vendors an in-depth overview of new products, the Exclusive Drag Specialties Training Tour is also a great time to converse with other dealers and get facetime with vendor product specialists.
T
he Exclusive Drag Training Tour is hitting the road this month for its third year of product training, hands-on demos and special purchase offers for dealers. The tour has grown for 2019, and it promises to be another fun, unique experience for dealers. Like last year, the Drag Specialties Semi Truck will pack up at the end of Daytona Bike Week and launch the Drag Training Tour, which kicks off in Houston, Texas on March 26. In all, the tour will be visiting 24 strategically chosen locations, including some new ones for this year. Each of the four regions will host six tours, and after going from one coast to the other, the tour will wrap up in Florida in October. That geographic coverage will give dealers, especially those who have not had the opportunity to attend a tour yet, a chance to get involved. Drag Specialties is also bringing the Drag Open House program on the tour. Any dealers holding events that are near the training sites will be able to take advantage of the Drag Open House opportunities, so have a discussion with your sales rep if your dealership wants to host an event. Each stop on the Drag Training Tour will include presentations from five vendors. These key vendors all have noteworthy product lines and many new parts and accessories to discuss. Some of the vendors are new to the tour this year, while others are returning after a successful tour in 2018.
not only see what the products look like on the bike, but actually feel and use the products themselves. And while the Drag Training Tour is certainly focused on value and knowledge for dealers, it is also about having fun. This year, the tour will be hosted at non-traditional meeting sites, with a special emphasis on breweries. Food and beverages will be available to all attendees, too. The tour dates are all held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, which means dealers don’t have to decide between their busy weekends and attending training. As always, the Drag Training Tour will include strong incentives for attending dealers. Both Drag Specialties and the participating vendors will offer discounted products, special bundles or other exclusive deals that are not available anywhere else. ■

Going Big
Introducing the Grande Twin Peak Bars the removal of the top clamp. Doing so provides plenty of room for running wires, and makes for a very simple installation. The design of these bars is very similar to the very popular original Twin Peaks. The Grande Twin Peak bars have the same mitered top pieces, two bend bottoms, and use a double-walled tubing design for increased strength.

A Choppers is known for thinking big, and the release of the company’s new Grande Twin Peak handlebar is a perfect example of that. In the case of these new bars, bigger is definitely better. This new variation of the popular Twin Peak handlebar is a massive 1½ inches in diameter, a look that’s right at home on your customers’ Touring or Big Twin Harley-Davidson models.
Grande Twin Peak handlebar
These 1½-inch handlebars are designed to mount right up to a Batwing style fairing Touring bike – most notably those Street Glides and Ultra Classics. In order to get these large miter-cut bars to clear the fairing, LA Choppers designed a crimping device that shrinks the handlebar material down in two small areas. As you can see in the images provided, it is visible before mounting the bar onto the bike but does not show once installed. Another addition to this handlebar is the proprietary handlebar mounting system. This new mount removes the top clamp and instead uses the included saddle and corrosion resistant bolts that are installed from the underside of the triple tree. Those bolts connect to an internal threaded “slug” that is installed into the center of the bar before being bent. Attaching the bars this way – to the internal slug allows

These new Grande Twin Peaks are available in a variety of height sizes, including 8 inches, 10 inches, 12 inches, 13 inches, 14 inches, 16 inches, 18 inches, and 19 inches – so there’s something for everyone. On top of that, each height is also available in three different finishes – chrome, gloss black and matte black. They are also designed to work flawlessly with fly-by-wire and hydraulic clutches. ■

The most technically advanced high-performance tire that Metzeler has ever offered for a V-twin, Cruisetec’s profiles, contours, specialized compounds and the performance-oriented tread patterns check all the right boxes. The tires warm up quickly with an enhanced level of braking and acceleration traction, while a large footprint serves up plenty of feedback in both mid- and full-lean situations. Meanwhile side-to-side transitions are seamless and a high level of tire-conformability absorbs any road irregularities. Rounding out the range are the ME 77s with vintage looks that are deceiving. While these Metzelers have the classic old-school appearance, they offer all-modern performance. The tires feature modern compounds formulated to enhance grip and resist wear, as well as tread patterns subtly reworked for better all-weather performance. With 77s on board an older bike looks right and gets a major boost in ride and handling. ■

LUGGAGE
Lifestyle Luggage
Bags for the Next Generation can be combined in a number of sturdy configurations. These are built to look different than typical motorcycle luggage, and that’s the whole point. The THRASHIN handlebar bag features rugged nylon construction, water-resistant YKK zippers and MOLLE webbing attachment points in the front and rear. The bag, at just 5 inches x 7 inches x 3¼ inches, is perfect for sunglasses, a mobile phone and other small necessities.

A
new generation of riders is finding the open roads. That’s what THRASHIN Supply founder Lance Coury has discovered about the company’s typical customer, who tends to be a younger rider who prefers day or weekend trips instead of longer excursions. That lifestyle shift is reflected in THRASHIN’s collection of small, sleek bags. THRASHIN bags are designed to carry enough gear for a weekend ride or even just a few essentials for day-to-day riding.
A D-ring can keep keys secure, and the combination of four interior pockets and two exterior pockets keeps everything organized. There are lateral and horizontal attachment points to mount the bag to risers or bars in multiple configurations for a nearly universal fit.
Riders who want to be prepared for roadside repairs can spring for the THRASHIN handlebar bag and tool roll combination. The roll has six slots for tools and a secure zipper pouch for bolts and smaller tools. The tool roll mounts easily to the handlebar bag via the MOLLE attachments. On the saddlebags, light structuring helps the nylon bags hold their shape, while a high-visibility interior makes it easy to find things packed inside. MOLLE attachments provide universal anchoring points as well as places to attach additional gear. The easy-on, easy-off design and water-resistant YKK zippers are other perks. The Essential saddlebags are for just that – essentials. The lightweight bags measure just 11 inches x 8inches x 5 inches. The Escape saddlebags are a little larger and ideal for weekend trips, measuring 13 inches x 7 inches x 9 inches, and they include waterproof covers to handle all of the elements.
The Essential saddlebag from THRASHIN is a compact and lightweight option for stashing away just what’s needed for a weekend trip.
THRASHIN’s bag line includes the Essential saddlebags, Escape saddlebags, handlebar bag, tool roll and bottle holster. These bags feature a rugged 1680-denier ballistic nylon construction and an integrated MOLLE system, giving them a modern tactical look. MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) is most often seen on loadbearing equipment and backpacks used by the U.S. Army. Essentially, MOLLE is a heavy-duty nylon webbing system that offers multiple points for attaching other gear, which

B
urly Brand already had a broad list of extended cable and line kits, but the list is even longer in 2019 with the addition of 13-inch and 15-inch kits for 2017 and later Harley-Davidson Touring models.
Like all Burly Brand cable and line kits, these new kits give customers everything needed for a seamless swap. Each Burly Brand cable kit has been engineered to take the guesswork out of installation. A kit includes the extended brake line, the extended clutch cable/line, extended throttle/idle cables and all necessary wiring extensions. There are a lot of extended lengths to choose from, including increments of 12 inches, 13 inches, 14 inches, 15 inches, 16 inches and 18 inches. The kit sizes are based on a bike with two-inch risers and ape hanger-style handlebars, like the Burly Brand bars available through Drag Specialties. Bar options include styles like the classic Burly Brand Gorilla Apes and the sleeker (but still just as tall) Narrow Bottom Apes. The new 13-inch and 15-inch cable and line kits are a perfect fitment for the Burly Brand Bagger Bars in those same heights. Other options for Burly Brand cable and line kits include choosing between ABS and non-ABS configurations and dual-disc or single-disc brakes. Lines are available with a braided stainless steel or black vinyl finish, so customers get just the aesthetic they want.

Burly Brand cable and brake line kits are meant to provide both quality and convenience. The brake lines are designed to provide optimal fit, and they are coated with a high-quality UV finish on the outside and a Teflon finish on the inside. Tight tolerances for a secure fit, rust-preventative finishes and a tapered diameter at the control area are all included for aesthetics and longevity. Choosing which kit to use is made easy for dealers with an application chart that provides clear, accurate fitment options. After that, several features of the Burly Brand kits make installation as quick and simple as possible. The wire extensions are color matched, and the components are dimpled and drilled for fast internal wiring. In addition to the extended-length kits for ape hangerstyle bars, Burly Brand also has options for jail bars and clubman bars. The cable and brake line kits for jail bars come in 10-inch, 12-inch and 14-inch lengths and include all cables, wire extensions and necessary hardware. The kits for clubman bars have the shorter-than-stock length required for clubman-style or clip-on handlebars, and everything required for installation can be found in the kit. ■

Turn Signal Eliminator Kit Customers can opt for a chrome or gloss black finish, with hardware to match. Installing the new kit includes a simple two-wire hookup to power the license plate illumination. The kit, while designed for Road King applications, is a true bolt-on replacement that fits a wide range of Touring bikes: • 2009 to 2013 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide, Ultra Limited and Road Glide Ultra (including CVO) • 2014 to 2015 FLHTKSE • 2015 FLTRUSE • 2009 to 2019 Street Glide, Road Glide, Road King and Electra Glide Police Models with a 180mm rear tire Dealers should note that when the turn signal eliminator kit is installed on a 2013 or earlier Harley-Davidson Touring model, a Custom Dynamics SMART Signal Stabilizer or load equalizer will ensure that the turn signals continue to function properly. Drag Specialties stocks those, as well. The turn signal eliminator kit for Touring bikes pairs well with the Custom Dynamics ProBeam low-profile taillight. The ProBeam line was engineered from the ground up using high-quality automotive LEDs and modern light-pipe design. Five light pipes illuminate across the taillight as the constant-on running light, while 25 separate LEDs provide a full-contrast brake light. Customers can choose between a red or smoke lens to top it all off. The LEDs combined with the design of the taillight increases side visibility for an added dose of both style and safety. The low-profile design protrudes just 2 inches from the stock taillight baseplate, making it a sleek companion for the turn signal eliminator kit.

Touring Solo for Indian Bobber

omfort and ergonomics aren’t usually high on the list of criteria when defining a Bobber. Just don’t tell that to the folks at Mustang Seats.
Regardless where you stand on whether factory Bobbers can qualify as the real deal, the new Mustang Standard Touring Solo for the Indian Scout Bobber keeps the stripped-down, retro-styled vibe fully intact, but also delivers the modern comfort, quality and technology today’s riders demand. The Standard Touring platform has been one of Mustang’s best-selling seat designs for decades, described as best for average sized riders who are content with stock positioning, but want a noticeable increase in comfort. Telltale design cues include a narrow nose for easy ground reach, as well as deep contoured styling on the driver bucket to provide excellent lower back support. Compared to the stock Scout Bobber seat, the Standard Touring Solo positions riders at a similar reach to the controls and ground, but the 13-inch width offers two additional inches for improved support in the hip areas. The deeply contoured bucket keeps the rider from sliding back in the saddle in addition to offering lower back support, while the slightly narrower nose also helps relieve pressure on the inner thighs for overall improved ergonomics and comfort. The hand-stitched covers are made from high-quality expanded vinyl available in two colorways – smooth and textured black, or contrasting distressed brown and textured black. Both feature large diamond-stitched center panels for a clean, classic look that suits the Scout Bobber’s old school appearance.
The Touring Solo seat is available in two colorways – smooth and textured black, or contrasting distressed brown and textured black.
Mustang’s plush expanded vinyl covers offer the appearance of soft leather combined with the durability and resistance to the elements that exceed OEM standards. Reinforced double stitching on the sides and rear panels also increase strength and durability. A proprietary controlled-density polyurethane-based foam compound requires no break-in period and retains its shape after years of use. Unlike gel seats, Mustang’s patented foam compound remains unaltered by hot or cold temperatures, and is precisely sculpted for even weight distribution and support to eliminate pressure points or hot spots. Additionally, the Standard Touring Solo’s lightweight and durable marine-grade fiberglass seat pan delivers long-term stability, is finished with high-gloss gel coat, and features strategically placed polyurethane bumpers to absorb vibration. ■

n this time of increasingly corporationowned dealerships it’s interesting to note that there remain very few longtime, multi-generational retail locations built on enthusiasm for the product. Relatedly, it wasn’t that long ago that aftermarket products were hard to find in franchised Harley-Davidson stores. However, that’s a trend that is also changing. Columbia Motorcycle Harley-Davidson, a third-generation family-owned retailer in Vancouver, WA, is among the Motor Company’s retailers that have accelerated their business with an increased offering of product from Drag Specialties. The dealership is owned and operated by Jennifer Kreofsky-Rodgers and Jason Rodgers. Jennifer is the granddaughter of the original owner, Emil Kreofsky.

Like most who find themselves drawn to the motorcycle business, original owner and founder Emil Kreofsky was an enthusiast first and foremost, and a bit of a daredevil.
The History Emil Kreofsky worked for his uncle who founded the first Harley-Davidson dealership in Portland, OR, in 1912. In October of 1944 Emil found a small wooden building on Columbia Street in Vancouver, and dubbed his own new venture “Columbia Motorcycle”. With his uncle providing motorcycles and parts, Emil sold and worked on Harley-Davidson motorcycles as an independent garage until 1947, when Harley-Davidson corporate asked him to become an official dealer for Southwest Washington. By 1955 the dealership was doing so well that Emil relocated Columbia Motorcycle to East Fourth Plain Blvd., where he continued to enjoy many years of great success until retiring from the dealership in 1975, leaving the business to his son, Jim Kreofsky, who had joined the business in 1965. The Fourth Plain store went though many add-ons over the years to accommodate for the increase in popularity of Harley-Davidson. In 2001, however, Jim had to do what his father did in 1955 and once again packed up and moved the store to its present location off Hwy 99 in the Hazel Dell area of Vancouver.
In October 2008, 60 years after his father Emil opened the doors to Columbia Motorcycle, Jim announced his retirement and passed the family history of Columbia Motorcycle to his daughter, Jennifer, and son-in-law, Jason. “Like most who enter the motorcycle industry, Emil was first and foremost an enthusiast,” says Jason Rodgers. “He was a champion hillclimber, and he was part of the Multnomah County drill team that did stunt riding. We have plenty of pictures of him riding through flaming boards and rings of fire and, because he was such a little guy, he was always up on top of the pyramid.”
The Operation Today Columbia Harley-Davidson is a 16,000-square foot operation split between two buildings. Walking through the front doors of the main building reveals the sales floor stocked with bikes, an apparel section to the right and a parts section to the left. The parts/service counter is located along the back, and the walls are covered with black-and-white photos detailing the family’s history with the business. The second building houses the service area and includes a dyno room.

Jennifer started working at the dealership in 1996 as an accountant, she and Jason were married in 1997, and Jason joined the business in 1998. “We’re actually one of the smallest Harley-Davidson dealerships in the Northwest,” Jason says. “We get a lot of customer feedback about coming into a small, family-run dealership rather than a big-box type of store. We also have customers who have known Jennifer since she was a baby.”

“And, while there are not many left, we even still have customers who say they rode with my grandpa,” Jennifer adds.

During peak riding season the dealership will have up to four employees handling motorcycle sales, at least three people staffing the parts department, two in the apparel department, a service manager, service writer and a few technicians. Both Jason and Jennifer work the sales floor. “I love working on the sales floor because often times nobody knows I’m the owner, and so it’s really beneficial to be out there in the mix of it hearing from the customer and working hand-in-hand with your employees,” Jennifer says. “You really need that as an owner.” Jason says the landscape of operating a business like a motorcycle dealership “has really changed”, explaining: “The old traditional marketing or TV and radio is long gone, so obviously we’re doing a lot of customer outreach on social media, updating feeds with at least one thing per day as well as sending out an email blast once per week.” “It’s a real challenge to come up with new content every day that’ll keep people engaged, but the younger employees we have are really helping me out with what’s trending or cool to a 20-year-old or 30-year-old.”

“Most people think Harley dealership owners are in their 60s or 70s, but we’re in our mid 40s,” Jennifer says. “There’s so much more involved now in the days of social media. Not only are you the owner, but you’re an actor, a cameraman … generally a content creator. There are always a lot of hats to wear.” Columbia Harley has also updated the way they handle customer outreach via events. The dealership has dialed back on the BBQ, chili feeds and live music events it used to hold in favor of offering its dealers more two-wheeled themed experiences. “So, instead of hosting events at the dealership, we’re starting to do more and more organized 200-mile to 300-mile dealer rides on Sundays in an effort to get customers out riding instead of just hanging out or driving their cars here,” says Jason.
More Customers, More Requests Given the history of franchised Harley-Davidson dealerships and aftermarket merchandise, how does Columbia Harley-Davidson go about embracing the aftermarket? And why choose Drag Specialties as a preferred supplier? “The motorcycle community wants variety,” Jason says, “They don’t want to have the same cookie-cutter accessorized bike, they want something different.” While he agrees that Harley-branded products are high quality items, his customers are looking for something different. “As for Drag Specialties, there is so much product in that FatBook, and I’ve noticed that even over just the last few years, the quality of the product from Drag vendors has been really stepped up.”

RIGHT: Jason and Jennifer Rodgers, the current owners of Columbia Motorcycle HarleyDavidson. Behind them is the Legend Suspensions wall of products. According to Jason, “That area serves as our ad hoc aftermarket area.”
How do they market non-Harley product inside the dealership? “Harley has a rule about displaying aftermarket product on the sales floor,” Jason explains, “but that doesn’t include what’s displayed behind the counter. So that area serves as our ad hoc aftermarket area.” So, what’s hot? “Legend Suspension has really taken off for us. People around here seem to really like the Custom Dynamic LED lighting packages,” he says. “We’ve seen an uptick in Bassani exhausts, and we work on a lot of older bikes that call for parts we can easily find in the FatBook.”

BELOW: Like the family members that came before them, Jason and Jennifer Rodgers are motorcycle enthusiasts and business owners. Here they are on a ride in the Pacific Northwest.
“I have to tip my hat to my rep Benny Harwell. I can call him any time of day, and he’ll take care of any issue I’m having within an hour. It’s really been valuable to have that kind of support.”
The Future As for what Jennifer and Jason expect from the industry in the near future: “I think people will continue to be looking for affordable, great quality bikes,” Jason says. “I’m still up in the air about the electric bikes. We looked into it, and the upfront costs it would take to become one of those dealers just didn’t make fiscal sense to us at this time. “I have a lot of friends with kids who are riding off-road, which serves as that seed for wanting to continue to ride and eventually transition to on-road riding, and so I’m actually really looking forward to that Harley dual sport. I think more and more people are wanting to go off-road and on-road, so the dual sport expected in August I think will do really well.”
The couple also looks forward to Columbia HarleyDavidson continuing as a family-owned operation well into the future with the fourth generation – their 22-yearold daughter Victoria is now working there, too. ■

earching the various Drag Specialties and Parts Unlimited catalogs for all the custom parts and accessories for Indian’s growing range of motorcycles is now that much easier thanks to the new 2019 Parts & Accessories for Indian Motorcycles catalog. It’s brand-new and your Drag Specialties rep can tell you all about it. Better yet, jump online with Drag Specialties and have a look for yourself. And, with Jon Kosmoski’s custom Indian on the cover, a bike accessorized and custom painted by the House of Kolor founder and premier custom painter, this catalog is going to be hard to miss. For a while just having an Indian motorcycle was distinctive enough. That Thunder Stroke 111 and those deeply valanced fenders were decidedly different from HarleyDavidson’s lineup, and Indian riders were satisfied with that. Their new-look bike outfitted with just a few factory accessories was plenty enough to turn heads. That couldn’t last, and it didn’t. As more and more Indians hit the highways, that itch felt by most motorcyclists since the history of riding needed scratching. Yes, those new Indian bikes were real beauties

New catalog for one-stop shopping straight from the factory, but they could always be made better – just take a look at Kosmoski’s custom. Naturally, the aftermarket responded with everything to make that possible and just as naturally those custom parts and accessories for the Indians all went into the Parts Unlimited and Drag Specialties catalogs, first one and then the other – therein began the search. Finding the most sought-after products, or even searching out which aftermarket vendors were offering items for the Indian market became something of a game of hideand-seek. Those days of time-consuming page flipping are over as the 2019 Parts & Accessories for Indian Motorcycles catalog has it all in one easy-to-navigate place. From the opening pages of windshields and fairings all the way through to the closing pages of custom hardware and engine covers everything Indian is here. he 2019 FatBook is a little bit fatter this year thanks to an expanded range of Drag Specialties Premium Ride-Height and 10½-inch adjustable shocks. Designed to fit Touring, Dyna and XL models, the shocks offer a range of ride height options to give a rider just the clearance option they want. Both the Premium Ride-Height and 10½-inch adjustable shocks have dual-rate progressive wound springs to ensure a smooth, controlled ride at any height. Adjustable spring preload makes it easy to fine-tune the shocks for a truly custom feel. Drag Specialties offers both styles of its shocks in a chrome or black finish. The chrome shocks have chrome springs and damper bodies with clear anodized billet aluminum endcaps and eyelets. The black shocks, meanwhile, have black springs and damper bodies with black billet aluminum endcaps and eyelets. Making the shock swap is easy since the Ride-Height and 10½-inch shocks use the existing hardware. (Dealers should note, though, that the OEM upper shock mount covers will not fit with these shocks.)
These high-quality shocks are sold in pairs and arrive in Drag Specialties’ Premium packaging, which allows for easy merchandizing. They come in a chrome or black finish.
The shocks are sold in pairs and arrive in Drag’s Premium packaging. The clean, attractive styling of the package makes it ready for display, so shocks don’t have to sit on a shelf in the stock room where they can’t catch a customer’s eye. The Drag Specialties Premium Ride-Height adjustable shocks are made from nitrogen-charged steel monotube damper bodies with hard chrome-plated shafts. The adjustability offers a ride height change of half an inch over or under the size listed. Those sizes include 11-inch, 12-inch and 13-inch lengths, offered in both standard and heavy-duty configurations. There are 22 new part numbers for the Premium Ride-Height adjustable shocks, including new fitments for 1986-2003 XL models in standard and heavy-duty, plus heavy-duty options for Touring and Dyna models. Previously, only the standard shocks were available for Touring and Dyna fitments. The Drag Specialties Premium 10½-inch adjustable shocks were only available for XL models in the past, but now there are four new part numbers to include Touring and Dyna applications. The length from center to center on the shock eyelets is what measures 10½-inches, offering a low-riding suspension setup. The shocks have steel dual-tube hydraulic damper bodies with hard chrome shafts. ■

T
here’s a lot of talk about the connection between rider and machine, but without a solid connection between the engine and the rear wheel, no one is going anywhere. Drag Specialties makes sure riders get down the road with a variety of rear drive belts, drive chains, pulleys and sprockets. Dealers can find the complete list of available parts in the 2019 FatBook, but the OldBook has plenty of applications for older models, as well. Rear drive belts from Drag Specialties combine carbon fiber reinforcement with Goodyear engineering. The resulting belts offer up to 33 percent more tensile strength than conventional aramid-reinforced belts. The high-temperature rubber compound maintains excellent flex and long service life for the belt, while the fabric-reinforced belt tooth surfaces improve wear resistance. The belts are made in the USA and include tooth sizes from 133-140, with fitments for both stock and custom applications. That same focus on wear resistance can be found in the Drag Specialties 530 Series O-ring chain, available in lengths of 102-120 links. Quad-pin riveting, tough Oring seals and solid bushings and rollers all add up to an average tensile strength of 9,500 pounds. The chains are available in a natural finish or with a tough, chrome plating on the side plates. Each chain includes a rivet-style master link, but both clip- and rivet-style connecting links are available separately, too. Drag Specialties has several varieties of billet rear pulleys available, with multiple options in size and style.

For bikes switching from a drive belt to a 530 chain, the Drag Specialties 530 chain conversion rear sprockets make the swap easy. The sprockets are available in flat or dished styles, and they have a chrome or gloss black finish. Drag Specialties transmission mainshaft sprockets are a high-quality OEM-style replacement. Designed for use with a 530 chain, the 21-tooth and 23-tooth sprockets are heat-treated for added durability. Extra-wide tires or a 530 chain conversion are made possible with the .200-inch offset sprocket kit from Drag Specialties. ENGINE TUNING
Direct to Digital

F
or the past 27 years, TechnoResearch has been producing high-quality electronics hardware and software for motorcycle and automotive applications, and things just got even more hightech. The company recently launched a new Direct Link digital license option that delivers tuning licenses digitally. The digital license is so new that it’s not even in the 2019 FatBook, although the hardware that it works with – the Centurion Super Pro (p/n 3807-0313) and Super Pro Plus (p/n 3807-0314) – are in its pages. The Direct Link digital license (p/n 1020-3011) can be used on all Harley-Davidson models that utilize Delphi EFI. The way it works is simple; a dealer gets a Direct Link Master Key, then uses it to tune an unlimited number of vehicles by purchasing a digital license for each unique VIN. The Direct Link Master Key (p/n 1020-3012) is free to dealers and provides the necessary bridge between the Centurion hardware and the digital licenses. Once a digital license has been purchased for a motorcycle, the tune can be revised an unlimited number of times. The license is delivered digitally, often via email, and it can be easily saved to a dealer’s computer system. A backup copy of the unique license is stored in the cloud, too, so anyone with the Master Key can access the code to tune a motorcycle’s ECU. All Direct Link features apply, which means the digital license can perform the same functions as the TechnoResearch Direct Link tuning keys. The advantage of the Master Key system is that it can be used to tune an unlimited number of bikes, while each USB-based tuning key is assigned to one single motorcycle. In addition to accessing Direct Link’s included Auto Mapping feature, the system enables modifications to fuel and spark tables, air/fuel ratios, warm-up fuel, cranking fuel, closed loop, acceleration and deceleration,

RAKE KITS
Bolt-On Big Wheels
HHI’s bolt-on neck rake kits are designed and manufactured in the HHI facility using only American-produced 6061- T6 billet aluminum and 4150 high-strength steel alloy. The multi-piece necks are available with a machined or black-anodized finish depending on the application, and they’ll deliver a strong and secure fork attachment. And, with HHI’s proven press-fit technology, there is perfect frame alignment with maximum assembly-andinstallation rigidity. The kits are fully compatible with all the factory suspension components and most custom air suspension systems. The X-23 doesn’t even require fork extensions and uses stock-length fork covers. Installing the X-26 on 2013 and earlier bikes requires the correct fork extensions. Even maintaining the correct headlight angle is easy; it can be adjusted without the use of any special raked bezel kits.

pting for a big-wheel conversion is a popular custom option for many Harley-Davidson Touring bike riders these days.
With Hawg Halters Inc.’s X-23 and new X-26 bolton triple-tree kits, swapping the stock front wheel on a Road Glide, Street Glide, Electra Glide or Road King for big 23-inch or 26-inch wheels becomes a direct bolt-on with no frame modifications required. With these two kits, that popular move of swapping to a bigger front wheel is quick, easy and cost-effective. The new wheels are positioned forward for plenty of clearance, while full suspension travel is maintained and, with a near-stock 6-degree rake trail, geometry is right where it needs to be for responsive and stable handling. All this is accomplished with just wrenches – there are no frame modifications whatsoever. According to HHI, installing the kit does not void the factory warranty, and the whole operation can even be reversed and the bike returned to OEM stock if necessary.

Flex-Free Performance
Heavy-duty pushrods
Feuling has a lineup of upgraded pushrods that are a great option for replacing the stock units when swapping up to a hotter cam. Applications cover Sportster, Evo, Twin-Cam and Milwaukee-Eight motors.
P
ushrods can be the weak li nk in a Harley-Davidson cam swap. One-piece factory pushrods routinely get removed, and are replaced with multipiece units. While this might speed up the job, they can become both a power thief and the source of annoying noise and rattles.
Feuling Parts has taken a fresh look at all of this. The result is a new lineup of Harley pushrods, adjustables and one-piece. Applications cover the full V-twin range, Sportster, Evo, Twin Cam and Milwaukee-Eight. Heading the list are maximum-strength one-piece pushrods. Feuling especially recommends their use for the Milwaukee-Eight due to that engine having one rocker arm activating two valve springs. The new Feuling one-piece pushrods are a hefty 7/16-inch diameter 4130 chrome moly tubing with swedged and formed ends and a 0.165-inch wall thickness. Super strong, they’re available in lengths compatible with factory-base-circle cams and high-lift/smaller-base-circle cams. A one-piece pushrod requires more effort to install but to eliminate flex, ensure full valve lift and reduce valvetrain harmonics they’re the way to go. Mindful that many builders still prefer adjustable pushrods Feuling has revised and strengthened the HP+, Race Series and Quick Install pushrod lines. The HP+ and Race Series are made from 4130 chrome moly, with the HP+ measuring 3/8inch diameter and a 0.120-inch wall, and the Race Series has 0.145-inch wall. Both are ideal when heavy-duty valve springs are being used. Installation does require removal of the rocker arms, but both feature a minimal adjustment range to eliminate flex. The new Quick Install pushrods install without removing the rocker covers. Extrastrong, they start out as 7/16-inch diameter tubing that gets turned down to 3/8-inch, leaving heavy-duty 7/16 - 20 threads for the base and jam nut. The strength and rigidity here take adjustable pushrods to the next level, just one small step down from one-piece. Quick Install pushrods and the oversize tubes they come with are now including in all Feuling HP+ Camchest Kits. ■

he OptiMate 7 SELECT (p/n 3807-0395) serves double-duty in your dealership, helping out on the showroom floor, while also keeping things going with your technicians in the service department.
At the front of the store, the OptiMate 7 SELECT can help power vehicles with aftermarket LED lights or sound systems running in demo mode. The charger features a 13.6V power supply with up to 8 Amps available. Simply hook it up to those vehicles with powered accessories, select the ‘power supply mode’ and it’ll prevent a drain on their batteries.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a small battery or a large one, the charger’s smart AmpMatic processor adjusts charge rate according to the battery’s size and condition – for example, smaller batteries automatically get less current, while larger batteries get more. When it comes to the service department (or customer’s own workshop) the OptiMate 7 SELECT is an ideal multifunction charger and power supply. The latter is great when troubleshooting or updating the ECU. For charging, there are two charge voltage modes – 14.4V for all 12V lead-acid batteries, and 14.7V charge selection for premium AGM starter batteries, as well as those deep cycle batteries used in RVs that work better if charged at a higher voltage. ■

A Seating Solution for Tall Riders
L
et’s face it, sometimes being tall has its disadvantages, and feeling cramped on a motorcycle happens to be one of them. LePera Motorcycle Seats gives taller riders something to rejoice about with the Maverick Daddy Long Legs seat for Baggers. The Maverick Daddy Long Legs is part of LePera’s Maverick family of seats, but it was designed especially for taller riders. It features the same comfortable, contoured design of the regular Maverick, but the rider’s seating area is moved two inches further back. That offers extra leg room and extends the distance from a rider’s shoulders to the bars for a more comfortable arm position.
LePera reports that the Maverick is one of their customers’ favorite touring seats due to a combination of aesthetics and comfort. The Maverick’s styling is meant to blend in with the lines of the bike, not overwhelm. When it comes to comfort, the Maverick offers a deep sculpted bucket to provide ample back support for the rider. A tapered thigh area increases comfort when the bike is stopped and the rider’s feet are on the ground.
The Maverick Daddy Long Legs is available with or without a removable backrest.
The Maverick Daddy Long Legs has a 14½-inch wide seating area and a passenger seating area of 13 inches. It has finish options of Maverick Stitch and Smooth, and a removable back rest is available. Maverick seats are built on LePera’s iconic powder-coated steel base plate and specially-poured, high-density Marathon molded foam for premium comfort. All of the Milwaukee-Eight items carry those signature details for which Ken’s Factory is known. They are machined of a high-quality 6061 billet aluminum, the Ken’s Factory logo is always kept small so the part itself remains the focal point, and the designs are meant to work alone or combined with other design styles. The new items are available in the popular Black Machine finish, which includes contrast-cut styling that takes its cues from the Ken’s Factory line of Vanquish parts. The horizontal lines cut into the Vanquish parts are simple but bold, making them a very popular choice. The Vanquish rocker covers, Vanquish cam covers and lifter block covers for the Milwaukee-Eight also come in chrome and polished finishes.

ntelligence and exclusivity are not terms normally used when referencing batteries, but those are two of the big features in the Battery Tender® line of smart lithium powersports batteries. The batteries are available to the powersports industry exclusively through Drag Specialties. Lithium batteries, like the 12V option from Battery Tender, have a host of benefits over traditional batteries. According to the company, they are 99 percent more efficient to charge, last up to four times longer, are two times lighter in weight, increase fuel economy, and cover more applications with fewer part numbers.
When the Smart BMS detects possible over-charge or discharge, it will shut off the battery to prevent permanent damage. Reactivation is easy: simply press the Battery Activation Switch on the Quick Disconnect Cable to allow the battery to be charged again. Drag Specialties also stocks the Battery Tender Lithium Charger. Battery Tender’s smart lithium batteries are available in five 12V options, with amperage ranging from nine to twentyfour. The smallest battery is a lightweight 1¾ pounds, but even the largest tips the scales at just over 3 pounds. ■

A Complete Collection of Luggage
N
elson-Rigg’s complete Route 1 Cruiser Collection of touring luggage is now available through Drag Specialties. It offers a range of storage solutions for everything from a weekend getaway to a long-haul road trip. The Traveler tour trunk bag and the Journey magnetic tank bag launched the Route 1 series in 2018. The Traveler has a storage capacity of 73.5 liters with a three-inch expansion, and it fits on most tour trunk racks. The 9-liter Journey tank bag has a tapered magnetic fit designed for cruiser tanks. A collection of five backrest rack bags complete the Route 1 series. Like the Traveler, the other pieces are all constructed of UltraMax fabric, which provides premium UV protection to keep the bags looking good for a long time. Reflective piping, rigid construction, rain covers and both inner and outer pockets are more of the perks. The Destination bag has a roomy main compartment, with 35.5 liters of space, and a top compartment with an additional 18 liters of capacity. The slightly-smaller
Nelson-Rigg’s Route 1 Cruiser Collection features a broad lineup of luggage that offers storage options for road trips of any length or duration.
Getaway has two compartments, including a 7-liter top compartment for items that need to be easy to get to at all times, and a main compartment of 21 liters. The Highway Roller is also a sizable option, with an expanded capacity of 50 liters. The Weekender is an expandable option with 40 liters of total carrying capacity. For riders who pack light, the Daytrip is a 20-liter bag with convenient carry handles. ■
