DUBAI VIBES MAGAZINE | VOL 1 ISSUE 17 | JULY 2022 PEOPLE 12 MAGAZINEVIBESDVM-DUBAI FilipinaAward-winning making waves in travel industry in UAE and Philippines PradoMalou suppliedcredit:image

Just like any typical Filipino dreamer, she also aspired to seek a country where greener pasture is. The UAE was her first choice. Without hesitation, she landed in Dubai using a visit visa only. During the first three months of her stay, Malou found it hard to look for a permanent job. She flew to Kish many times for visa extension purposes and continuously worked odd jobs, such as a cleaner, helper, and food server, among others.
With her determination and gusto to end the cycle of poverty, Malou was able to finish a Baccalaureate course in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the prestigious Lyceum University Manila.
“It wasn’t as much a decision to become an entrepreneur as it was just a realization that is what was meant to do. Starting to sell tickets, visas, and group tour packages were just the next steps as I explored and uncovered new possibilities. I found purpose in growing a business that produces useful things and creates meaningful jobs for many fellowmen,” she said.
As expected, her business, MPQ Travel & Tours, significantly raised and become a top-notch agency inside and outside the UAE markets, which offers affordable, honest, and reliable tourism services.
Malou, on the other hand, is also recognized by these award-giving bodies as an and trailblazer influential female entrepreneur. Her latest legacy is the latest branch of her company in the Philippines that is set to promote the Philippines’ tourism and assist Filipinos who want to travel outside the Philippines.
Despite asking for referrals and meeting new people, she was unlucky to obtain a stable job. Her goal to be hired by a company that would offer her an employment visa was subsiding. She recalled getting tired of eating ramen noodles because she could not afford to buy a decent meal. She also experienced worries about having no money for the next rent payment on her rented single bed. Her problems thickened while trying to survive and thinking about how she could send money back home to support her family financially.
“These years were torturous, that I am wide awake 24/7 in attending incoming phone calls from Kish where the base of exit is placed,” she added. By the year 2013, the Filipina entrepreneur negotiated with a buzzed investor to recapitalize the company, touting a new ‘direct response’ business that could give help with more chances to expand her services. To further strengthen the empire she was building, she attended a series of seminars, paid phone calls to interested bigger parties, explained the products, offered discounts and coupons, and negotiated profits, alas! she then ultimately convinced them to build a network of hundreds of ticket agents.
In the same year, she decided to quit managing that company and launched her own business.
To pursue a career, she opted to work in Taiwan where she met her lifetime partner, Robert Prado, and got married afterward when they went back home to the Philippines.
Today, Malou is now reaping what she sowed.
“Failure is always a part of life, if fear or failure is always holding us back; we cannot walk to move forward. In any kind of business, building products isn’t easy, sometimes things happen that are out of control. Let’s just throw bad things on the wall, pick good things and keep working on them by heart for the benefit of all. Anyway, reputation is all on what I am selling for,” she said.
At first, earning a commission felt difficult, but little did she know she was already building scores of big customers. That was the time when Dubai started the lurking tourism industry. She never gets satisfied. She always aims for more. Malou realized that the financial situation was so dire, until such time an Arab friend offered her to run a ready company but without giving her cash for any means of salary. She was so reluctant to say yes but she thought of herself as unreasonable if she backed off from what was presented on the So,table.she looked back from the road of her journey in the UAE filled with odds and people trying to drag her down, and she realized that that was her chance to prove to them that she was truly a challenger and a fighter. Knowing that she had no single amount of money in her hand to finance any business, abruptly, she accepted the offer and poured herself into Shework.also voiced her concern to help many of her fellow kababayans on how they would earn a living without having capital on hand.
Dubai-based Filipino entrepreneur Malou Prado believes that self-belief and hard work will always earn one’s success.
The MPQ Travel & Tourism has been receiving accolades from various prestigious awardgiving bodies in the UAE and in the Philippines.
A blessing in disguise Malou always trusts the timing of everything. She believes that just because it was not happening right then didn’t mean it never will.
Along the way, Malou dealt with the ups and downs of start-ups for the entire five years.
After praying for guidance, her phone rang. One of the agency’s clients where she had a part-time job looked for her number. She was offered to sell UAE visas and tickets with a freelance agreement. As a person with enthusiasm and optimism, she took up the challenge.

She always felt welcome from her initial visit until she entered its corporate Sheworld.said, “Because we all live in an expat city and are separated from our families and our nations, there are everyday experiences that unite us. We cherish our connections to the community and the friendships we make via these networks.
She created this home wellness collection based on the wellness pillar identified by particular evidence-based research.
American-Irish Christine Ann Clinton, cofounder of Junior Genius Global and Christine Clinton said that maintaining one’s health is one of the most crucial things one can do, that is why it need focus and education.
This kind-hearted woman also serves as the chair of the Global Wellness Institute’s Wellness for Children Initiative, which promotes the health and well-being of children. She had spent 32 years working in the health and wellness industry. She began her path by earning a certificate in health and exercise in 1989, and she later created a cancer treatment program for spas and wellness facilities that won an international award. She was recently named the Debra Simon Award for Leader in Promoting Mental Wellness for 2021. And for her, that was a central professional high point.
Timeline of Success
Christine worked as an Au Pair in New York for the first half of her twenties before switching to customer service administration for Mitsubishi in Australia. Then, after a 14-month global backpacking trip, she moved to Ireland and enrolled in the Dublin Fitness Institute. She said, “I kept going and got certificates in many other healthy things, including massage, skincare, reflexology, aromatherapy, lymphatic drainage, and baby care.”
She told Dubai Vibes Magazine that she spends most of her time with her husband and two boys in Philadelphia or with her mother and siblings in Ireland after work. She should always be aware of her obligation as an advocate because this is not your typical 8-hour office job. It is work that is available around the clock. She said, “I also recently joined a new program for Teachers to assist their mental health both within and outside the classroom. I support Whimsy World, enabling creative play via art for children in hospitals in the USA.”
Christine wants to balance her professional and personal obligations with so many responsibilities. Her greatest wish is to live on a disease-free planet. She wished to promote a modification in the delivery of instruction in educational institutions. To better prepare the next generation for life in the twenty-first century, she intended to educate kids on social and emotional abilities like empathy rather than the traditional methods of gaining academic achievement.
“I play a very active part in the Wellness for Children project as its chair.”
Well-being is riches. Many health advocates have used this priceless statement to raise awareness among the public about the need to take good care of one’s body since it is a treasure that should be cherished.
She later earned certification in the PECO program, which focuses on preconception health and the first 1,000 days of life.
Christine promotes health and wellness by educating people of all ages about their bodies, their right to access healthcare, and how to protect themselves from various diseases.
She launched her own business after receiving all the necessary credentials. In 2022, after her husband’s misdiagnosis of lung and liver cancer, she established Christine Clinton Cancer Care. Then, in 2017, she started an initiative called Wellness For the life that gives everyone’s health and wellness more priority.
But during the global economic crisis of 2008–2009, Christine’s road was not simple. Her health spa in Ireland filed for bankruptcy. It was a painful and challenging period for her emotionally and professionally. Still, the Mind Body program at Harvard University in the United States helped her develop her resilience and mindfulness skills. She said, “I never gave up on my ambition of teaching young people and helping my clients in my private practice in Philadelphia who had damaged health.”
Her new venture, Junior Genius Global, uses this body of knowledge to create an educational program for families that promotes wellness through touch, healthy eating, restful sleep, breath work, yoga, creative play, and music, as well as the importance of promoting healthy eating, restful sleep, and breathing exercises.

To create a world free of avoidable sickness, I am enthusiastic about health care and guiding young people to make wise decisions. I am a member of the Global Wellness Moonshot, she said. She claimed that when she first began her cancer treatment program, she encountered opposition because many still thought that cancer was a hereditary or aging-related disease that was unpreventable and that your lifestyle and choices had nothing to do with it. And she feels that knowledge of it will be a key.
Christine learned the value of prevention and leading a healthy lifestyle through her work in cancer care. She understands from that experience the importance of teaching young children how to care for themselves and fend off sickness.

She also lectures at the university on marketing and consumer behavior and collaborates with one of the top research teams. One day, she realized she did not want to see herself in 20 years, still sitting in the same chair in the university.
