The new two-level concourse features ten gates and an upgraded baggage handling system that integrates with the existing system. Passengers benefit from an 825-foot connector equipped with moving sidewalks. The glazing system features 600 pieces of glass, each with a lowvoltage driver that automatically adjusts during peak sunlight. This improves occupant comfort and reduces the carbon footprint by reducing energy costs.
A custom terrazzo floor showcases a bronze outline of a life-size plane, while displays celebrate North Carolina's aviation legacy,
highlighted by an immersive "First in Flight" light and sound wall. A life-sized DC-9-82 T-Tail aircraft is embedded in the floor near Gate
A31, adding to the visual experience.
The exterior sunshade lighting system boasts 100 lights, ranging from 4 to 30 feet in height, capable of creating 17 million color combinations. This impressive project also achieved two Green Globe Certifications under the Green Building Initiative (GBI), underscoring its commitment to sustainability.

Since 2017, JE Dunn has successfully completed two projects at the Williston Basin International Airport. The first project involved a 70,000 SF Rescue Firefighting and Snow Removal Equipment Facility. More recently, we delivered a new 110,000 SF, two-level international airport passenger terminal building. This comprehensive project features a new entry hall, TSA offices, inbound and outbound baggage handling systems, rental car and ticket counters, restrooms, passenger boarding bridges, passenger screening areas, and various vertical circulation elements such as stairways, escalators, and elevators.

SUSTAINABLE ELEMENTS
During our initial estimate, we pinpointed $10 million in cost reduction ideas, with the owner and design team accepting $7 million of those suggestions. Throughout the preconstruction process, we continuously assisted with budgeting and reviewed plans during the redesign. An early foundations bid package, enabled construction to begin before winter set in. This strategic move kept the project on track as the design team finalized their construction documents. Their proactive approach ultimately saved six months on the project schedule and minimized the risk of lost time during the redesign phase.

Our team has experience successfully managing baggage handling projects at 26 airports,including system expansions, upgrades, and replacements. Our capabilities include coordination of CBIS, EDS, and TSA-mandated testing to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
