RAINBOWS in the Wind Festival

“The Rainbows in The Wind Festival was a great opportunity to go help out the local organization: Little Miss Hannah. A few key club members and I got to meet some performers, hang out with Kiwanis members from Green Valley, and serve the community. During our service, we passed out water, goodie bags, set up a few paper balloons on a rainbow containing written messages for the people who have passed away, and had fun at the same time. Overall, if this event could be described in one word it’d be: outstanding.” - Jerjon Reyes, VP of Events

“We helped the staff by handing out gift bags to the children and the adults that attended the event. At one point, we gathered around in the middle of the park and watched wonderful performances by different people, princesses, children, and various entertainers. The children also had fun interacting with and playing the games at the various booths. The donut eating contest, balloon darts, and many other interesting things fulfilled children’s wishes with little prizes and fun times.” - Boya Liu, Junior Member “I really enjoyed that crocodile clap. I liked it when Jerjon demolished me in the donut eating contest.” - Jackson Schaub, Junior Member

Freshman Orientation

“ Freshman Orientation gave our club the chance to recruit new and ambitious members. We had set up a tablet with our photos on them from events, so the freshman would be able to view them. I got to personally talk with a few freshman who were interested in Key Club. Not only Key Club, but I also told them a bit about school life, so they didn’t seem as anxious as they already were. To attract members, one of our vice presidents dressed up as sea monkey and directed people to our booth to get free key club shirts.. Overall, the event was exciting due to the members that we are expecting soon.” - Cindy Banks

Summer Ice Skating Social “ I had a lot of fun. It was my first time ice skating in six years and it was really enjoyable. The other officers helped me over come my fear of ice skating and I was able to skate for a couple of laps.” - Lucille Anne Irorita “It was a lot of fun. I’m not good at skating, but everyone just helped each other and it was all fun. It was good. We usually don’t get to see the members during the summer, so it was good to meet up. We took a group photo which was kind of hectic, but it was good.” - Nicole Romero “The event was pretty fun. Mostly officers showed up and a few members actually showed up which includes me. It was a really fun event, but really hard to actually skate on the ice. The social was really great though.” - Henry Chen
