PTA Batterman Elementary

Yodluck Eddie Mountry | Sophomore Member “ Batterman was interesting! I worked at a game booth that gave out fish as a prize for winning the game. It felt very rewarding to help the community and the kids, even I was just a small part of it, I made a difference. I would love to volunteer at Batterman again and work at another booth because the other booths seemed interesting and I would love to experience what it would be like helping out at them.

JDRF

One Walk

Henry Chen | Junior Member “During my time at the JDRF One Walk, there were very few people from Key Club; however, there were many other volunteers from various organizations. There was a dire need of assistance in storing materials and products back into load-up trucks, thus it was very busy. I felt it was rewarding to help during a busy event such as this and it was a pleasure to work with other volunteers. I wished more Key Clubbers would have attended the event because it would be fun to work with them in order to finish storing faster. Overall, it was a good event. -Junior member, Henry 6Chen

American Heart Association:

Heart Walk Kalei Terry | Sophomore Member “ My experience at the Heart Walk was absolutely fantastic! I was screaming and I love to scream. By cheering the runners on and making them more happy, I learned spirit. The runners also became more hyped up when we cheered for them. I remember someone asking to take a video of us cheering on the members since we made the crowd more energetic! I would definitely do an event like this again. My favorite part of the whole event was simply being with my fellow Key Club members.

Rock n’ Roll Marathon Ciara Sinks | Senior Member “ I volunteered for the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon for three days during the weekend (Nov. 1012). While I volunteered, my friend and I helped the staff hand out t-shirts and bibs for the race. Everyone, the staff and volunteers, were all very kind and it was an enjoyable way to spend my weekend. My favorite part about volunteering, though, was just the thought of making it easier for the staff to run the event, considering the tens of thousands of runners that came. My only regret is that I wasn't able to help on Sunday too and hand out water to the racers. "
