An offensive unit filled with experience highlights the UT Martin Sky hawks in 1996.

Coach Don Mcleary's first edition of the Skyhawks more than lived up to its new nickname UT Martin averaged 43 pass attempts per game While Mcleary says that the pass will still be an integral part of his team's attack, the coach wants to establish the run on a more consistent basis which will allow the Sky hawks to be more of a ball-control club.

SeniorquarterbackJeffMcCronewill be the player called upon to direct the Sky hawks' revamped attack as he passed for2 ,519 yards and 17 TD's in his first season in the program

Three e x perienced receivers return in Lenny Harris(53-790-5) , Deumaine Reeder(40-448-3) and John Dillon (20-272-2) for the Sky hawks Howe v er , the top pass receiver last season -tailback Nikki Jackson (63-425-0) - for UTM also led the club in rushing with 466 yards and five TD's in 79 carries

An offensive line , led by veteran center Will Woody, guard Jason Lawrence and tackle Richard Coure , should help UTM run the football more effectively
