Students Welcomed to their Home on the Hill
The 2024-2025 academic year is off to an exciting start at East Texas Baptist University. Students recently arrived on the Hill for Move-In Day, Tiger Camp, and the official start of the Fall 2024 semester. "At Tiger Camp, new ETBU students have the opportunity to dive into a range of activities, from the Coffeehouse Concert and Glow Dodgeball to academic sessions with Learning and Leading instructors, and corporate worship during the Lampsato Lighting ceremony," Senior Vice President for Campus Life Ryan Erwin said. "This immersive

experience allows new Tigers to build connections with the ETBU community before classes begin, offering them the chance to interact with faculty, staff, and fellow students before stepping into the classroom. Our faculty members also had the opportunity to pray with students ahead of the new academic year on Friday morning. On Saturday, the Tiger Camp students made a difference in the Marshall community by volunteering at various local organizations during the Tigers Serve event."
Join Us for Hymn Sing 2024
Join us for the Great East Texas Hymn Sing on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. in Baker Chapel. Each year, the University community and individuals and church groups from Texas and surrounding states gather in the Rogers Spiritual Life Center to praise the Lord through hymns, fellowship, and sacred songs. He has been practicing in the Southwest Houston area for several years and currently works at Lone Star Foot & Ankle Specialists. He also serves as a team doctor for local schools and programs.
Dr. Ivey reflects, "ETBU was a place where you had one-on-one conversations and help from the professors. We would sit in lectures during the morning and battle it out on the racquetball court with them in the afternoon." Read More. Read Full Spotlight
