ntecâmara da principal categoria do Campeonato do Mundo de Ralis, o WRC2 em 2017 está a ser totalmente dominado por pilotos provenientes do Norte da Europa. Sem espaço no WRC depois do fim da equipa Volkswagen, Andreas Mikkelsen encontrou refúgio na “irmã” checa, a Skoda. O norueguês mostrou que a experiência ao mais alto nível foi muito importante e ganhou logo no início da temporada. Entretanto já repetiu a vitória mas não comanda o campeonato. Tudo indica que vai ser promovido de novo ao WRC e Pontus Tidemand tem tudo para reinar sozinho.

Nota, também, para a participação de Miguel Campos que volta à competição e está inscrito no WRC2.
O sueco, também da Skoda oficial, venceu três provas até à data e comanda a competição de forma isolada. O piloto continua as boas prestações evidenciadas em 2016 e isso reflecte-se na classificação do WRC2. Há, de qualquer forma, a garantia que Mikkelsen e Tidemand se vão defrontar em Portugal.
