This book presents the most common and practical bandages for application to small animals, whether for cats and dogs or even exotic species. The no-nonsense descriptions are accompanied by numerous photographs and videos, so both veterinary surgeons and veterinary technicians and assistants can benefit from direct help in their daily practice.
Presentation of the book Due to their frequency, some aspects of daily clinical practice are assumed to be “known and specific reference material is often needed to help veterinary surgeons get the most out of techniques they use every day, or to learn new techniques which they may have heard about but do not know how to apply. The aim of this book is to cover one of these deficiencies by demonstrating the main bandages that can be applied in the veterinary clinic from a practical, functional, and very instructive perspective. Each type of bandage is accompanied by a definition, the materials required, its applications, and any specific measures needed to look after it. The techniques are explained with step-by-step descriptions, featuring as many images as necessary to ensure each bandage is fully understood. Furthermore, the reader can access explanatory videos in both the digital and printed versions (using QR codes) to resolve any possible doubts about the procedures described in the text.
