SUNNYDAY ‘ON THE ROCKS’: NO MORE FROST DAMAGE Non-glazed panels are solar collectors made with plastic materials (such as PVC, polypropylene, neoprene or synthetic rubbers), with no insulation and glass covers. For these features, they are also known as “plastic” or “unglazed” collectors. They are the ideal solution when slightly higher than ambient water temperatures are required. One of the most interesting applications for unglazed collectors is the heating of outdoor swimming pool water: here they provide a perfect solution to maintain a pleasant water temperature (25-28 °C) in small and large size swimming pools.
