SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDY IN SPAIN

ATHENEA3I RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS AT UNIVERSITY OF GRANADA IN SPAIN

Athenea3i is a research fellowship program focused on attracting highly talented researchers to the University of Granada (UGR) in order to benefit their research career with International, Interdisciplinary and Intersectorial opportunities. This innovative fellowship program offers the experienced researchers an outstanding opportunity to develop new skills and competences, enriched with a personalised and pioneering career mentoring plan. Athenea3i also includes research periods at some of the most distinguished and outstanding institutions around the world, and optional secondment in regional, national and international companies.

ELIGIBILITY: These scholarships are open to researchers of all nationalities. AWARD: Recipients will be awarded coverage of covers 36 months of research along with a monthly allowance (living, mobility, family (if applicable), child (if applicable), research/training costs and secondment (if applicable). MAE AECID SCHOLARSHIPS

This scholarship program is a leading example of the political cooperation between Spain and the rest of the world. The call for applications is published each year by the Directorate General for Cultural and scientific relations of the AECID.

ELIGIBILITY: These scholarships are open to Spanish and foreign nationals, of legal age, holding a degree in higher education (and in some cases, university students in their final year) or those who can demonstrate professional experience in certain activities, depending on the particular grant applied for. AWARD: Recipients will be awarded a monthly allowance, participation costs, traveling and insurance costs of the students. The amount varies depending on the scholarship awarded. ERASMUS MUNDUS PARTNERSHIPS

Erasmus Mundus is a cooperation and mobility program in the field of higher education that aims to enhance the quality of European higher education and to promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through cooperation with third world countries.

ELIGIBILITY: These scholarships are open to EU and non-EU students. AWARD: Recipients will be awarded monthly allowance, participation costs, traveling and insurance costs. THE FOUNDATION FOR AFRICAN LEADERSHIP IN BUSINESS: MBA SCHOLARSHIPS

ALB offers scholarships to qualified African residents who wish to obtain an MBA through several partner universities. The foundation offers the scholarship with responsibilities including a commitment to returning to the country after the program is completed.

ELIGIBILITY: These scholarships are open to African students with a professional background (3 or more years of work experience) and strong academic background (completion of bachelor’s). TALENT GRANTS FOR RESEARCHER STAFF AT AUTONOMOUS UNIVERSITY OF BARCELONA IN SPAIN

The Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona offers five research grants to encourage the capture and retention of research talent to promote its research activity as a whole, across the areas of knowledge.

ELIGIBILITY: These scholarships are open to international researchers. AWARD: Recipients will be awarded half of the amount: €23,000 EUR. The remaining 50% of the cost of contracting must be paid by the contractee through their own research projects or contracts or by the research groups of which they form. DEADLINE: September. BCAM POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN SPAIN

The Baque Center of Applied Mathematics is offering a postdoctoral fellowship in computational mathematics and fluid dynamics. The aim of this scholarship is to provide financial help to international students in Spain.

ELIGIBILITY: This scholarship is open to international researchers. AWARD: Recipients will be awarded a gross annual salary of €28,000 EUR – €32,000 EUR. UNIVERSITAT DE BARCELONA SHOLARSHIPS

Barcelona Institute of Economics offers PhD scholarships for 3 years. The successful candidates will develop their research under the supervision of researchers belonging to the IEB Research Programs and will perform teaching duties in Applied Economics at undergraduate level within the Department of Economics (area of Public Economics) at the Faculty of Economics and Business.

ELIGIBILITY: These scholarships are open to international students who have graduated with a Master in Economics. AWARD: Recipients will be awarded a yearly gross amount of €16,400 EUR.
