What is an AP Course?

Advanced Placement (AP) courses are rigorous, college-level classes that require a significantly higher time commitment and skill level. Students will receive a grade in the course, as well as preparation for the standardized AP tests. However, testing and the associated fees are not included in the course. AP tests are graded on a scale from 1-5, with a 3 and above being a common marker for qualifying for college credit. However, some universities do not accept AP scores for college credit. College credit is NOT guaranteed for the AP courses.
