Think you know Sweden? You’ve got so much more to learn

Chances are, you’ve already experienced Sweden – even if you’ve never been there. This beautiful, forest-covered country is where world-famous companies and innovations such as IKEA, Spotify, H&M and Tetra Pak came from. It’s the birthplace of musicians and groups such as ABBA, Avicii, Swedish House Mafia, and Zara Larsson. You already know Sweden, but there’s so much more for you to learn.

Learn for Life in Sweden

Students in Sweden are independent, self-sufficient and encouraged to ask questions – even if that means questioning the teacher. They’re not required to wear to school uniforms and they often enjoy an informal and relaxed relationship with their teachers and other school staff. Business, science, social science, and information technology are common programs in Swedish high schools. As an exchange student, you’ll usually have set subjects but may be able to adapt your schedule.

Experience the Classic exchange in Sweden

In Sweden we offer the Classic High School program, which provides the traditional exchange experience. You’ll live with a caring host family and attend a high school near your new home. You’ll be immersed each day in a new culture and language, and share meals and other daily rituals with your host family. Throughout your entire exchange, you’ll be supported in both your home and host country by our One Team Across the Globe, who will work together to ensure you have a safe and successful exchange.

“Honestly, the people were so lovely and welcoming. They were the ones that made me feel at home and allowed me to do all of the many cool things that I was able to do.”

– Lily in Sweden

“My favourite thing about being on exchange is the generosity and welcoming nature of the Swedish culture and lifestyle. If you walk past a stranger they smile at you and say hello”

– Portia in Sweden
