Norway

Forests, lakes and mountains galore

Do you love the outdoors? Then a student exchange program to Norway may be the perfect fit for you! Picture yourself exploring Norway’s 2720 km coastline, raggedly indented with inlets, fjords, peninsulas and islands. Over 80% of Norway’s land area is taken up by mountains and forests, and about one quarter of Norway’s land is above the Arctic Circle. As an exchange student in this amazing country you will enjoy breathtaking scenery and friendly people.

Learn for Life in norway

Norway has a great education system and over 90% of upper secondary students attend public schools. Like in most Scandinavian countries, English is a common second language and the arts are heavily supported by state subsidies, particularly in film production and book publishing.

Experience the Classic exchange in Norway

In Norway we offer the Classic High School program, which provides the traditional exchange experience. You’ll live with a caring host family and attend a high school near your new home. You’ll be immersed each day in a new culture and language, and share meals and other daily rituals with your host family. Throughout your entire exchange, you’ll be supported in both your home and host country by our One Team Across the Globe, who will work together to ensure you have a safe and successful exchange.

“There were many highlights of my experience including making all these wonderful new friends, having the chance to go skiing through the mountains ranges and seeing snow for the first time. Furthermore, experiencing a very traditional Christmas with my host family was unique and even simply walking down the road to experience the natural wilderness of Norway displayed to me how the Student Exchange Program was an amazing experience that I will never forget.”
