Assosiation of Critical Education focuses on environmental education, intercultural education and gender issues projects. We are working in Wroclaw and rural areas of Lower Silesia. Our projects:

1) Studying mums/dads During 2011 our team ran a gender-connected project: "Studying mums". We decorated and furnished a little room at the University of Wroclaw, organized over 12 workshops, debates and seminars concerning the issues of motherhood, established a self help group, ran a research project and published a book.

2)Nadodrze, urban pedagogy project An ecological socio-educational project in marginalized city spaces took place as a side effect of the ethnographic research of Dr Kamila Kaminska in Wroclaw 2012. The streetwalker's pedagogy initiative related to issues of sustainability was run by students together with disadvantaged young people. We renovated a little piece of land introducing nature to a devastated urban district.

3) Blooming our neighburhood- Youth in action ecological project: The project will result in strenghtening the sense of belonging and local identity building- therefore civic sociaty in Nadodrze formation. Self confidence and inner control are the goals for individuals development of young participants. Several soft result will mainain the added value of the project with its „real life changes in public space of 3 backyards of devastated council housing area. Workshops engaging young people will be led in the correspondence with action: cooperation, negotiation and communication skills will be necessary to maintain the main goals: regeneration of a peace of space. Conquering of Guiness record in cereal eating will be a fun event promoting the project and healthy life style. 5)Summer play /day-camp in Wilczyn

Cultural education project for children in the form of summer camps in the community Oborniki funded Silesia Marshal's Office (June-September 2011).

6)Litter eliminated Project provides a creative and attractive approach to the already well-known campaign 'Clean Up the World ". We would like through competitions and events elimination of illegal dumps in the Municipality Oborniki ĹšlÄ…skie We would like to contribute to the consolidation of the habit of filing as part of everyday life, as well as we would like to provide reliable knowledge how to properly segregate waste.

7)Children Rular University The project refers to the tradition of pre-war Polish initiatives and universities for children from Scandinavia. Aims: -to organise activities for children under three thematic areas: ecology, culture and science. - to invitie University lectures, specialists from many fields of science, - to animate the community living around the country clubs, - to increase the participation of representatives of rural communities to decide on matters concerning them, - to organise educational trips (theaters, museums, cultural institutions), - research in action on learning in rural communities.

8)”We change the wheals in our bikes, we change life” Project aim is to animate the enegry of young people from litle villages in the Lower Silesia region. It combaines the culural education (with reference to intercultural learning) and sport. Wilczyn is a small village with no school, church nor nursery. It has a pubic common space (swietlica) which geathers a group of over 40 kids and youth from the neiberghood from time to time for events organized by our association, parents and local activists. The area has a great tourist potential (beautifull forests and nature) that in itself can animate sports such as joging, biking, nordic walking. The economical situation of most of the youth from the area is poor, most doesnt even have bikes. The project could fill that need and give them a tool that they need to get their life going to a bit different direction.Days filled with boredom make space for pathological behaviour. A chance of combaining sport and culture education is therefore at the hand. After training and coaching sessions initiative group will mend 10 bikes, work on the publication and organize several trips and the final event.

9)Volunteer is changing our village We are hosting long-term volonteer to help our community projects in Oborniki Śląskie region.

10) BE Environment friendlyandventure is waiting. - Creation of educational and recreational paths, trails: equestrian, walking and cycling around Wroclaw. - Regular meetings to promote the sport in the integration meetings with disabled children from a primary school in Wisznia

II) Student association: Critical Education: Discourse, Power, Resistance (University of Wrocław) At the end of November 2011 the Student Association Critical Education: Discourse, Power, Resistance came into existence at the Pedagogical Faculty at the University of Wrocław. The first offiical leaders were Agnieszka Janik – a student of 4th year of Education – and Dr Kamila Kamińska – initiator and main head of this newly created enterprise. After three months of activity we were distinguished with an honour award for the best Student Association at the University in Wrocław. Our conference activity: - In April 2012 we organized a Polish symposium at DPR. - In June 2012 we went to a Polish conference in Gdansk on Critical Education spreading the word of DPR and taking part in the discussions on the past and future of critical thought in

educational sciences in Poland. Both events had some things in common: they were a great challenge to our epistemological frameworks and took place at the seaside. We are enthusiastic about the potential of DPR in Eastern European circles with the belief that there is loads more than football Poland can offer, because being critical we are not cynical!
