February 17-23, 2022 Volume 20 Issue 7 RAD Polar Plunge It is happening this weekend. An incredible fundraiser for adaptive recreational equipment in the valley which makes the valley so much more inclusive for everyone. Persons with disabilities can enjoy more of the many great features of the valley with this type of equipment. The plunge is this Saturday down at Kinsmen Beach. Check out the ad on page 3 or the RAD FB page for more information.

Salebration The real holiday is on February 15 when chocolate goes to 70% off.

Canada Free Family BBQ This Saturday, February 19 at 1 pm there will be a free family BBQ down at the Kinsmen Beach area. There will be free hot dogs provided and people are invited to bring some potluck to share. It will be a wonderful afternoon of smiles and fellowship. No passports will be required as discrimination is not fair. Enjoy fire pits, go for a skate or crosscountry ski on the Whiteway and enjoy the people around you. Rockies Hockey The Rockies had a tough loss to Kimberley putting them one point back of the Dynamiters for first place in the division. There are only two games left in the regular season. Playoffs will be exciting. In the rest of the league, the Osoyoos Coyotes are dominating with 31 wins and only 2 losses this season. They will be tough to beat in the playoffs. The Rockies are in Fernie this Friday and then host the Golden Rockets on Saturday, February 19 at 7 pm for the final game of the season. Playoffs will begin promptly after that. Go Rockies.

New Barber Shop It is time for a lot of the gentlemen in this town to meet the new barber. It was certainly time for me.
