Rockies Hockey The Rockies had a tough loss to Kimberley putting them one point back of the Dynamiters for first place in the division. There are only two games left in the regular season. Playoffs will be exciting. In the rest of the league, the Osoyoos Coyotes are dominating with 31 wins and only 2 losses this season. They will be tough to beat in the playoffs. The Rockies are in Fernie this Friday and then host the Golden Rockets on Saturday, February 19 at 7 pm for the final game of the season. Playoffs will begin promptly after that. Go Rockies.

Get down to the Invermere Dairy Queen to try out their new food menu. The new stack burgers look delicious. They have completely redesigned their burgers. Softer buns, fresher meat, thicker tomato and lettuce and tastier sauces and toppings. Stop in and check them out today.

Through the Tulips I have been tiptoeing around most of my thoughts during this scamdemic. I feel that I have been quite gentle and diplomatic with my thoughts. A lot of people find other folk’s truths to be offensive and that is sad really. Being ‘offended’ seems to be pretty powerful these days. Lately I have been a bit more open and honest and the response has been incredible. Of course haters will still hate but the lovers are coming out of the woodwork now. Thanks for all the incredible support. It is nice to have my personal biases confirmed.

I really enjoy the food at Fuze. The Thai Chicken Wrap is delicious. The staff are also very kind, respectful and pleasant people. Certainly Valley Peak approved.
Rotten Eggs I am not sure how to describe it but Rocky is on antibiotics right now since his lump removals and that seems to be causing a bit of gas developing in his bowels. There is no movement or sound, just a silent but deadly covid test for my sense of smell.

RAD POLAR PLUNGE SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 19 KINSMEN BEACH, NOON
As you can likely tell, I am getting a bit more vocal about my thoughts on the situation in our country this past couple of years. I see the ‘elites’ (rule-makers) travelling, partying maskless, hugging and pretty much breaking all of their own rules constantly but if they say ‘Sorry I made a mistake’ then there is no worry of a virus or an trouble. I see senior family members trapped in homes and isolated from their families until their passing. I see patients in hospitals isolated with no one to advocate for them. I see kids playing sports with their parents locked out of the building. I see critical surgeries and other health issues delayed and worsened by covid ‘protocols’. I see people fearful of each other and refusing to shake hands or hug (we need contact). I see gyms closed but liquor stores open ‘for our health and safety’. I see big businesses thriving while small businesses are being mandated into oblivion as they have to close. I see segregation and discrimination promoted by the government and being enforced by local businesses. And I see more and more people getting sick after being forced to take the jab for work or whatever. Cancers are returning with a vengeance after vaccinations. Strokes, heart attacks, myocarditis, kidney failures, palsies, still births, menstrual bleeding and more. But no one is willing to talk about that or admit it. For me it all comes down to one very obvious concept. We all know in our hearts what is right and what is wrong and we have to choose which path is worth taking. Or we can just conform.

Watson’s Waddle Us dogs notice some strange behaviours out of you humans. Rocky here, all recovered from my lump surgeries, writing for both Drew and I. Next week is the oneyear anniversary of Watson’s death and we can see Rob is thinking about him lots. We can feel sadness quite easily. When our humans leave, we are anxious for their return. As you walk out the door, we do not know if you are coming right back or in several hours or maybe even never. So when you return, we are excitied and not afraid to show it. We want to hug and kiss you and make you feel loved and know that we are happy you are home. And usually the humans return the affection pretty good. But when I watch them with their families and loved ones, that stuff rarely happens. Usually they give each other a quick greeting and that is it. Humans are missing out on a bit of love every day. We love any physical contact. Do you notice how responsive your pet is to a bit of a scritch on their ears or belly? We love that and I have to suspect that humans love it also, but they rarely do it to each other. That is saddening for a love hound like myself. Even walks are strange with you folks. I am all over the place sniffing things and checking out the scenery. The world is a beautiful place and dogs take the time to be present with that beauty but often our humans are in a hurry and worried about so many other things and they miss so many messages or beauty that God lays out before them. I guess it is easier for us as our homes and meals are taken care of so we can just always enjoy the moments as they are happening. People should try that enjoyment thing.

Canadian Climate Change? The ‘Great Depression’ was in full force in the Prairies in 1936 when Mother Nature decided to hit them with another blow. No rain and a record-setting heat wave in July. For days, most of the country cooked at 44 degrees Celsius. By the time things finally began to cool off, 780 Canadians had died from the heat.

Opinions Please remember that we all have our own opinions on our worlds around us. If we have different information sources we will have different opinions. And that is okay. I am lucky (I guess) that I can put my opinions out there for others to read (or not). You don’t have to agree with anything. I have been in the valley for more than 20 years now so many of you know where my heart is from our past encounters.
O Canada 3. Mars
Four years ago, a Canadian Flag during the Olympics was cheered on by most Canadians. But somehow that has changed drastically. I am proud to have flags on my pickup. I am seeing millions of them all around the world right now. But yesterday a lady pulled her vehicle into my lane at a 4-way, parked 10 feet in front of me and gave me a double, one-finger salute. Somehow the Canadian Flag now triggers hate in her. Has the Flag changed? Does she know something about what is in my heart that she really hates? What did it take for the media to convince people that being patriotic and flying our country’s flag is a bad thing? Just trying to understand.

Racists! So Justin Trudeau has invested 5 years into convincing Canadians that they are racist (he is projecting his own feelings upon us). Now that there is a crisis he has shown no leadership but instead run and hidden from any confrontation. His only defense is that everyone is a racist. With the media’s help he has many people convinced that honest, hard-working truck drivers are racist, misogynist, bigots, etc. Now he is including all the farmers and ranchers who have joined the protests. And the families in Ottawa. And the veterans. And many people actually buy into that rhetoric. Yes everyone who stands up is a racist. That is how Justin debates and the media backs him.
I Am This Country (From page 4) Canada is a highly developed country and one of the wealthiest in the world, with the 10th highest per capita income out there. Although Canada has many flaws, we are lucky to live here.
Blessings Thanks to the folks working to get me through my dialysis runs, my inability to sleep and my panic attacks. It is 4 am and I am listening to some short Bible verses from Psalms with rain recorded in the background. It is nice and relaxing. I have dialysis in the morning and I do have a guest planning on visiting. That takes away some of the dread. Much of the panic is caused by isolation and exclusion. The system has definitely forgotten about me but individuals around the valley are beginning to step up for me. I am getting to meet some amazing people and have some wonderful conversations.

with a swastika and one confederate flag, both carried by individuals who were quickly escorted out of the area. BLM tore down and painted hundreds of statues and that was okay but the convoy hung a Canadian Flag and leaned a cardboard sign on Terry Fox and the media calls it ‘desecration’. There are hundreds of thousands of dedicated, peaceful Canadians rallying in Ottawa and the media is working hard to find that any one tiny little issue to make you think they are all bad.
Gaslighting It is a technique used by many abusers in relationships and by the media in brainwashing. The news called BLM ‘peaceful’ protests while people were being killed and buildings burning right in front of you. Now they are calling the truckers’ convoy violent and racist and blah, blah, blah. They have talked about Nazi flags constantly when actually there was one flag
