The Whitehouse is hosting a very busy May Long Weekend. Thursday, May 18 is Trivia Night. Friday will be karaoke and both Saturday and Sunday bring local musicians, ‘The O’Sullivans’. Everyone is welcome. Check it out.

Mind Over Matter

How many of you believe in telekinesis? Raise my hand.

Farmers Market

The Wednesday afternoon Farmers Market will be starting up next Wednesday, May 24 at 3 pm. All the usual farmers will be there including Bugaboo Ranch, the Frustrated Farmer, Caleb View Farms and more. New vendors, such as Weaver Bee Company will also be there. We will see

some new artists and baking.

I really enjoy this market. The hounds are welcomed to cruise around and explore, the time is convenient and the products are great.

Fun Day of Golf

Remember the Fairmont Lions Golf Fun Day is happening at Coys Par 3 is coming up shortly on Saturday, June 10. I am sure that if you were in it in the past you are already in or considering getting in. Don’t wait too long as they have sold out several times. Get more info on the page 2 ad.

Free Food Pantry

Most of you already have read plenty on the Free Food Pantry located beside the road at 1313 10 St. Please donate as it is getting used a lot. If you have more than you need, it is good to help those that do not have enough. Thanks to all those who donate food or cash for food.

May Long Weekend

Get ready folks, especially with the weather forecast as it is. We are about to be flooded with sunseeking vacationers. We are Calgary’s playground. So prepare yourself. Get your grocery shopping done Thursday as by Friday evening there are a lot of shoppers. Stock up on your services and products or gather your things and get out into the backcountry for some fun.

Some of us love the people while others want to get away. I understand all that and hope everyone achieves their bliss this weekend. Prepare yourself to try to be nice and welcoming to everyone.

Riddliculous

We live in a stressful time. In which month of the year do people tend to get the least amount of sleep?

It is also a colourful world. What is orange and sounds like a parrot?

Why can’t a Tyrannosaurus Rex clap?

Answers on page 6.

Great Mexican Food

Remember to stop in at Leo Burrito in Radium for an amazing burrito or a tasty plate of nachos. Then step out for a fun round of mini golf and finish with a sweet cone of gelato. It is great place for an afternoon of great fun.

Experts

A new study shows that the media can get you to believe anything as long as they say ‘a new study shows’.

Getting Tired

I must say that struggling to stay alive every day gets pretty old, pretty fast. It has completely changed who I am and how I treat people. It is not a good thing. I am very short fused right now and even mean to my best friends and strongest supporters. But I am done with BS, of which there is plenty these days.

I am aware and very angry with myself but I guess awareness is the first step in changing.

Robservations

We live in a very guarded world. So many of us are afraid to say anything about our lives as we are afraid that we will be judged and/or gossiped about. That includes information about illness.

I am pretty open about most things in my life. It is incredible how that looks and feels. I openly write about my illness and other issues and allow anyone to follow my progress.

Why is that? I don’t really know but I do know that I get hundreds of comments thanking me for that. Plus I know that it feels good to not be guarded every minute of every day. And really, who cares what others think about your life? Many folks say it is inspiring.

There are a lot of folks who go through the same issues as you or me but have no support because they are afraid to tell anyone. They think they are unique in their problems.

Remember that everyone has issues and many people have the same issues that you have. Don’t be afraid to reach out to support someone or look for support from someone. It will ease your mind to find out how many folks care about you.

On that note, anyone interested in learning about kidney failure or dialysis is welcome to contact me. I love to talk.

District Events

I see the District of Invermere is bringing back the ‘Locals Live’ concert music series at Pothole Park this year. Nine different bands will perform through the summer beginning July 4.

As the DOI has refused advertising since I began telling ‘my truth’, I will not be giving many details on this through the season. But I do have to let you know as it is a good community event that most people should attend. Live music outdoors at Pothole Park is a great idea.

ICAN is running with a new Board these days. Stop in and see about adopting a little furry friend.

Watson’s Waddle

Well, any walk after 10 am these days must involve water. Drew and I get overheated quickly. The mornings are cool and refreshing but the afternoons are tough. We aren’t even interested in an afternoon walk most days. If you enjoy morning walks and would like some companionship, get a hold of Rob. He is still fairly incapacitated with his health.

We really dislike when the ambulance shows up for Rob. Last year he was gone for a month in the summer and now another week in January. We get worried that we might not see him again. It is emotionally draining for a dog.

Please make sure your furry friends have some water to drink and some shade to lay in. It is important. We don’t swim but we love to wade out into the water a little ways. I get jealous of those ball chasers who can freely jump into the lake and swim way out there. We go under head first. Enjoy your week.

NOT WHAT IS TRENDY

Inspiration

I watch a lot of sappy videos about people who have helped the downtrodden to change their lives. I actually even have a few tears happening for some of them. It shows the good in some people. Generally there are a few people being mean and bullies to the person before someone steps up.

I have watched it happen here. A guy came into town with years of cooking experience. He had no home or job and was risking everything to come here. Four people stepped up and helped him clean up and find a few resources. Within a week he had a full time job and in exactly two weeks he found a perfect place to live. Four huge hearts partnered up to help him and it has been an amazing outcome. Sadly there are not a lot of residents that don’t judge people without meeting them and giving them a chance.

Canadian Sports Trivia Answer

The Montreal Canadiens won their fifth consecutive Stanley Cup in 1960. The New York Islanders won four in a row ending in 1983.

Wings

I really love birds and can easily understand why people travel from around the world to our valley. We are loaded with birds these days. I met a group at Chabot and there was at least a dozen types of waterfowl amongst hundreds of birds. I watched a blue heron hunting for fish in Dorothy Lake.

My friends had a wild ruffed grouse walk right up to them and hang out. The one guy was able to pet it. Birds are awesome.

STUMP

Censorship

The Liberal government just passed a nonbinding motion that would ban all current reporting on the Chinese interference and threats, which put journalism under government control which spells the end of freedom of the press in Canada. At least we have no censorship, money laundering or corruption in Canada. Just 171 Chinese Communist Party delegates. Hahaha. Learn your Mandarin.

Riddliculous Answer

(From page 2) People sleep the least in February as it is the shortest month. A carrot is orange and sounds like ‘a parrot’.

T. Rex can’t clap because it is extinct.

Gardening

It was an amazing weekend for weather and the forecast shows the same for a few days. That means it is pretty much safe to plant gardens. I went to the Groundswell plant sale and picked up a few things. Most have been planted now. Sadly they have all gone from healthy to struggling from the shock of a transplant. I am hoping for them.

My peas look awesome, the garlic is thriving and a couple squash seeds have popped up nicely. Rhubarb and raspberries are out of control.

My landlord has been out in his garden every morning and it is looking great. They grow and can enough vegetables to last the full year. It is impressive planning.

Ivermectin

An old story from me but still important. More people are realizing that our media, government and health authorities have been brutally lying since day 1. Ivermectin has been used in many countries for viruses and was named ‘drug of the year’ once. It is called a miracle drug and has saved thousands of people.

Why did they all lie? Because if there were any other treatments they could not claim it is an emergency. But instead they were able to force poison into a lot of people and make billions at the customers expense.

Where We Were

The page 6 photo shows the hounds up at the benches enjoying the bumblebee’s favourites, dandelions.

Happy Birthday

Definitions

Hate speech has become such an insignificant term. Why? Because people like to call anything they disagree with, hate speech. Truth and facts have no meaning to these folks. When you have no facts, name-calling becomes your only resort. Seems like everyone is a bigot, racist, misogynist or whatever. Making up words and changing the meaning of words to suit a narrative is a bit insane really. Well, in my hateful opinion anyways.

Sphelling

Sir you seem to be drinking a bit. Can you say the alphabet beginning with the letter ‘m;?

“Malphabet”.

Reducing the Effects

If you have been jabbed and are a bit worried about the potential side effects, there are actually a few things you can do. The day before our government told us eggs are causing heart issue in children and not to eat eggs, a German study showed soft yolk eggs have a protein that defends against the spike protein. As always our authorities tell us the opposite of the truth.

They say Pine Needle Tea from the white pine can help as well. You can research that yourself.

The supplement NAC is supposed to help as well.

I like to believe that most mistakes can be corrected once you learn to admit you have had an error in judgement.

It Was That Year

(From page 4) In 1996, a new home cost $118,000, a car cost $16,000 and average income was $36,000.

Mr. Dressup did his lst show, O.J. Simpson went to trial, and the Pokémon series began.

Nothing to See Here

Did you know that the Global population has been reduced by 1 billion people since 2021. The World Economic Forum (WEF) with Bill Gates, who have controlled the covid narratives, has been talking about reducing the population with vaccines for a few years now. But nothing to see here folks.

Gratitude

What a difference a week makes (or a day, or even a moment). Last week it seemed like everything was going poorly. It was hard to keep smiling. But things definitely are looking up this week.

Always remember that things happen and often what seems terrible at the time can lead you to where you need to be.
