July 28-August 3, 2016 Volume 14 Issue 31 Tunes from Cuba Check out the top Cuban band ‘Brisas del Palmar’ this Wednesday, July 27 at 7:30 pm at the Invermere Community Hall. These guys are amazing. They were actually selected to perform for the Pope during his visit to Cuba and now they are here in the Columbia Valley. Cuban music is very high energy with lots of percussion. It is very enjoyable. There will be some tickets available at the door. Don’t miss this one.

Punctuation How are cats and commas opposites? A cat has claws at the end of its paws while a comma has a pause at the end of its clause.

Beach Bubble Night Okay, so this Thursday, July 28, from 5 to 8 pm, is the actual ‘Bubble Night’ at the Beach Party at Kinsmen Beach. The parties have been a big hit and everyone is welcome. I ‘may’ have had the bubble ad in by mistake a few weeks ago but it is correct this time. Everyone is welcome. You are invited to dress like a pirate as well.
