Home Hardware is hosting three free screenings of ‘Aladdin’ in their parking lot as a drive-in movie feature. It is happening on July 9, 10 and 11 (this Thursday, Friday and Saturday). The movies will begin at dusk. All three nights will also include live music from local rockers ‘Hamburgers on Wonderbread’. They do an incredible job performing old rock songs with amazing talent from every player and the vocalist. The music is right out of my era (1970s or so). They will perform just before the movie. You must register your vehicle in advance at ‘Event Brite’ to be able to attend. There is a limit of 50 cars for each evening. There will be some social distancing and covid regulations in place. You can sit in the back of your pickup truck. Donations to the Columbia Valley Food Bank will be gratefully accepted.

The New Abnormal I really am not enjoying the way things are these days. I feel sad for restaurants that have to run at a lower capacity due to ‘social distancing’. It must be tricky making it work. I think the word ‘social’ is incorrect here. It should just be called ‘physical distancing’, although many people have become socially distant. Add a mask and it is often tough to know who you are chatting with and whether or not they are smiling. I appreciate those folks out there who are aware enough to still shake a hand or give a hug. Human physical contact is so critical to our health.
