Music on Main
The Station
Summer is … strolling along Radium’s main street Friday evenings, enjoying live music and checking out the market. It’s Market & Music on Main time again starting this Friday, from 7 to 9 pm. This week, June 29, check out the ‘Small Town Revival’ band. They are wonderful. If you’re looking for a relaxing, enjoyable way to unwind after the week, this is a great way to start the weekend.
This Friday, June 29, check out the Small Town Dirbags live at the Station Neighbourhood Pub. They are a great band that covers an amazing diversity of tunes. The dance floor is always hopping with these boys. The Station is also showing all the World Cup games. Thirteen screens of drives and dives. It is awesome.
Canada Day Parade
After a soft opening in April, Invermere’s new sewing and fabric store, ‘Kootenay Behind the Seams’ is ready for its grand opening on Saturday, June 30. Fabrics, notions, dyes, Watkin’s products and quilting supplies are all available at this handy location on main street. Come in to enter the draw for special prizes, including a new sewing machine. As someone who enjoys wearing clothing and having cozy blankets, I’m excited to see a store like this in town. Stop by and check out all the great stuff in stock.
This is it, folks: the day that so many local groups and businesses spend months working toward. It’s Invermere’s Canada Day Parade on July 1. The spectacle starts at 11am on main street. It is one of the best parades going. Cheer and clap for all the great parade entries, then follow the last float down to Kinsmen Beach and celebrate with your neighbours and new friends at the Mountain Mosaic Children’s Festival until 3 pm. It’s a community event not to be missed.
New Duds I bought a belt made of hundred dollar bills. But I soon realized it was a waist of money.
