Rockies Hockey As I write this on Monday, the Rockies are tied at 2 games apiece with Fernie and will be hosting them tonight. The Kimberley Dynamiters await the victor as they went 4 straight over Golden.
I can’t offer much more information for you other than game 7 would be Wednesday, March 2 at 7:30 pm if needed. Note: Rockies won game 5 handily.
Windermere ‘Walmart’ That is the local’s name for the exchange building at the Windermere dump. There is a building that you can place your unwanted but still useful items into and that people can come and take them away. It is a great concept that helps lots of people in the valley. Anyways it has opened back up this week. That is great news for so many local residents.

Reawakening One of the great things about memory is our ability to forget. Every night we go to bed to sleep off the day. If we are lucky this sleep will erase many of the unimportant things from that day. We awaken fresh with new thoughts and ideas. Many of the people who do not sleep well are having problems letting the day go as they lay in bed. Our brains do not relax and that prevents our bodies from relaxing. Sleep is our chance to start over fresh with every new day.

Wildflowers Spring is coming up quickly so the insects, especially the bees will be out and about soon. Support them by not killing off your dandelions. They are great bee food. Secondly, plant some wildflowers around your property. They will bring bees to your garden to help with pollination and they look very nice. That is for Dave.

So with my low hemoglobin, low red blood cell count and my restricted aortic valve into my heart, I am living with very low oxygen getting to my cells and organs. This makes me very low energy and my legs weaken and tire very quickly. You might find me sitting on a sidewalk bench for a few minutes on any given Tuesday during deliveries. Masks are bad for me (and you). Thanks God for the blessing of these two dogs right now. They force me out the door for 2 or 3 walks every day. They may not be long walks but they are enough to keep my body moving and burn a few calories. Walking is a great way to live a healthier life. Fresh air and exercise are always a good thing.

I could never explain the thought processes I go through writing The Valley Peak each week. Obviously I am not afraid to touch on some of my thoughts on the mainstream and political narratives but believe it or not, I am very gentle compared to what I am actually thinking. I have lots of time to research things. I have a lot of thoughts on the current Ukraine/Russia issue but some of them don’t line up with many folks. There is no doubt that it is an awful situation but it would be interesting to know what has led to it. Wouldn’t it? I get a few messages saying that I have become very divisive and sometimes offensive with my thoughts. Sadly the word offensive has become so overused lately that it has no meaning. Imagine being offended by a label on pancake syrup or by a hat that someone is wearing or lately by a Canadian Flag. If you think someone should change their hat because you don’t like it then you might be a bit disillusioned about people’s rights in this world. We can all make our own choices. I wrote a couple weeks ago that it all comes down to what is right and what is wrong. So many wrong things are happening around us but the media tries to convince us that they are right. And people are afraid to speak up because they believe the media speaks for the majority. But really, they speak for the elites and the policymakers and the people who make millions of dollars based on the narratives. But that is all just my opinion. Obviously I have as many biases as anyone and I do look for items that tend to confirm my thoughts. Similar to everyone. But so much of it of what is happening is like living in a clown world where everything is backwards.

Watson’s Waddle Drew and I are brothers and we look a lot alike. We are from the same parents but a different litter. I, Rocky, am a year and a half older than him. I will be ten in April. I love to be close to Rob. I follow him around the house. If he is on the computer I am on the bed beside his desk. If he is going to bed, I am right there with him. When he wakes up in a panic and moves out to the couch, I follow and join him on the couch. I even follow him into the bathroom. Drew just likes to stay put. Once he is settled on the couch he want so stay there. Same with the bed. He is a huge cuddler and tries to get in under the blankets with Rob but he will just stay there when Rob leaves. He loves to have his whole body, head included, underneath the covers and will stay like that for hours. Weirdo. We both love sitting on either side of Rob on the Couch. With him in the middle he can rub both of our bellies or scratch both of our ears at the same time. It is awesome for all of us. When we are out walking, Drew and I are on very separate adventures. I love to take my time and check out all the scents while he likes to motor along and cover lots of ground. Rob seems to be enjoying the gentler pace these days. Well time to sign off for the week. Rob wants the keyboard back now so he can get to work.

An easy one. Michael Jackson was severely burned while filming a Pepsi commercial, Pierre Trudeau retired, replaced as Prime Minister by John Turner who was then badly defeated by Brian Mulroney with 211 seats, the strongest Canadian majority government ever, and Vanessa Williams resigned her Miss USA crown due to nude Penthouse photos. What year was it? (George Orwell wrote about it). See page 7.

You cannot hide from viruses. You can wear a mask, sterilize your hands, wipe down counters, get vaccinated, stay away from crowds, and distance yourself 6 feet or whatever. None of that stops a virus. We can all see that now. Building up your resistance is the best way to deal with all viruses. Vitamins, fluids, rest, fresh food and more. We can build our immune systems by treating our bodies with respect. Let’s make healthy living great again.

Congratulations to Courtney Hoffos for her 6th place Olympic finish in Women’s Ski Cross, an exciting event in which 4 skiers race down the track at the same time.
Dog Poop I have to say that it is pretty disgusting to see dog poop in some of the places that I find it. The soccer fields and the pathway around them are disgusting. Even with a poop bag dispenser at the end of the path. I hate the no dog restrictions at the beaches but when I go there and see some of the messes, I do understand. And I admit there are some poops that I do not recover but they are always in a spot that no one would ever be walking. So please do better folks. I am not sure if it is disrespect or laziness or what, but much of it is easy to improve upon.
For Your Safety Apparently the government officials plan on keeping us safe from covid, even if they have to kill every one of us to do it.

I try to exist with very little expense. I source out good deals on things, maybe barter a little bit and try not to spend money for unnecessary things. I already have ice fishing gear so it costs very little to enjoy that activity. But I do have some bills such as printing the paper, rent, etc. So how do I manage things? As poorly as possible really. I will prepare some invoices and collect enough to cover current bills but then I relax until I am under cash pressure again. I often end up behind on invoicing and may even skip the odd one as I hate putting pressure on small businesses. I want everyone to succeed. So that is part of my story and I hope you all do better than that.

Riddliculous Answer (From page 2) Ten 3-letter body parts are: arm, ear, eye, gum, hip, jaw, leg, lip, rib and toe. Also, gut and lid. Really, you could include words such as ‘tooth’ as it only uses 3 letters in its spelling (‘t’, ‘o’, and ‘h’).

The Great Reset Well that aged poorly. What was once called a total conspiracy is now an openly discussed topic. The Great Reset. You can find out about it by looking up the Georgia Guidestones. The basic concept is that ‘You will own nothing and you will be happy’. Written in stone. Funny enough, I am already living that way. I own virtually nothing and I am as happy as I can be with my health issues.

The Science It is a friend’s birthday this weekend. They are going to Calgary to rent a hotel room, catch a show, go to a few restaurants and maybe even a casino visit. All mask free and no vaccine passports. Sounds pretty risky to me. Almost as risky as the thousands of maskless truckers and rallyers across the country these past few weeks. Or the 70,000 maskless Superbowl fans. There must be a lot of sick people from these super spreader events. No wait, there isn’t? Yet here we are in BC with all kinds of vaccine and mask mandates. It is the science. Well the political science anyways.
The Year It Was (From page 4) In 1984, a house cost $86,000, a car was $9,000 and the average annual income was $21,600. Marc Garneau became the first Canadian in space, the Soviet Union boycotted the Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games, the Macintosh Personal Computer went on the market, Beverley Hills Cop was released and the first compact disc was sold.
Campfires I have been to a couple fire pit events lately and I have been reminded of how much I love the smell of campfire. My jacket always has such a sweet scent to it the next day. Enjoy the life that you can whenever you can.
Trying to Understand Can someone please explain to me how killing all the positive and probiotic bacteria on your hands with sanitizer will do anything to stop a virus, which is a non-living genetic fragment? Bacteria and viruses are 2 completely different and unrelated things. It is just another pretend protocol that actually does nothing. Thorough washing with hot water and soap is effective for viruses without damaging your body’s natural immune system.
A Community The nice thing about living in the valley is that if you are ever in a position that you don’t know what you are doing, you don’t have to worry because everyone else knows.

death. It was quite the day of reflection for me. Watson was a great example of the perfect work of God. He was full of love and positive energy and when I was around him, I was full of love and positive energy. Kootenay Kritters posted a bunch of memories of Watson on my FB page. It was very touching to look at them and remember the feelings that Watson brought into my heart.

New Zealand So the high court in New Zealand has determined all of their mandates to be illegal and violations of human rights. Most of their mandates are being lifted as we speak as their leaders try to backpeddle and say the science is changing. Again, it is the political science that is changing. How are we doing here in B.C.?
Live Each Day Two years ago was our last ‘normal’ week. Other than the elites and politicians, who would have thought? Always live each day with joy as any one day could be the last.
Fleeting Thoughts It is funny as I am always trying to think of something to write but often I am writing something else at the time. And then I forget that thought about 30 seconds later.
