URBAN INFILL,MY NATIVE FRIENDS Key Point : Idea,analysis, observations of the site context / 2010
{Jalan Masjid India - K.Lumpur 1870}
Supervisor: Ms NurSham Lebai Hitam,Prs. M Nakiah & Mr.Zul The project explores the idea of the site through the site analysis and observation of the context to fulfill the task given in a short time. The intention of the project is challenge the idea of the architecture as it attempts to derive the meaning based on the result. The history of the Jalan Masjid India is the oldest parts of the city, it is the original shopping haven that has dated back over a century ago. Its name is derived from a mosque built in 1870 for the Indian Muslim population settling there at the times when tin-mining was booming.Little India is at the heart of a thriving neighbourhood built up around the district’s mosque. Based on the study, we have to resolve the problem faced by the small Indian community which there’s no attraction at their place and also no space or place to expose to the others the real Indian culture which i found it is important for other culture to understand this culture as a Malaysian.

The intention is to create the environtment with musical and classical characteristics which can attract people to visit the theatre.The actors who perform street theatre are from buskers to organised theatre companies or groups that want to perform their performance or to promote their mainstream work.The performers just have simple costumes and props, and generally there is little or no amplification of sound, with actors depending on their natural vocal and physical ability .The performances need to be highly visible, loud and simple.
STREET MOVEMENT
Key Point : Idea,analysis, observations of the site context / 2010 {Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman - K.Lumpur 1870}
Supervisor: Ms NurSham Lebai Hitam,Prs. M Nakiah & Mr.Zul Site analysis and observation of the context was carried out to fulfill the task given in a short time. In order to introduce to the world the hidden talent of the street art.I’ve design a so called centre of the art where all the street art can do their performance for free without disturbing others. Street theatre is a form of theatrical performance and presentation in outdoor public spaces without a specific paying audience. These spaces can be anywhere, including shopping centres, car parks, recreational reserves and street corners. They are especially seen in outdoor spaces where there are large numbers of people. The actors who perform street theatre range from buskers to organised theatre companies or groups that want to experiment with performance spaces, or to promote their mainstream work.

ARCHITECTURE FOR DISABLED Key Point : Monocular Vision
/ 2011
{Faculty of
Architecture,Planning & Surveying - Shah Alam 2011}
Supervisor: Mr.Hailane Salam,Mr.Fairuz & Mr.Jamsyid
Architectural design for disabled.We were divided into groups to study on how human disabled continue their daily life and how they appreciate their life so much and decided to learn about monocular vision.We have to record and capture the moment of being monocular vision. Monocular vision impairment refers to having no vision in one eye with adequate vision in the other. Monocular vision face some problem which are with 3D vision and hard to recognise distances and sizes of the object cause people being seen clumsy and accident prones.The solution to overcome this impairment which area lighting,contrast ,surface and textures,sound and organisation. As for architecture student,we have to improve the access and spaces for the disabled students in FSPU based on the study.The analysis had been carried to find the possible space which can be improved using topography research about the design intention at the site.

Capturing the temperament of Chaotic Bangkok / 2011
{Bangkok City - Thailand 2011}
Supervisor: Mr Hailane Salam, Mr.Fairuz & Mr.Jamsyid Bangkok can be seen as the heart of Thailand. It is the cultural,educational,political and economical center of the Thailand.This is very high populated city is the center of the tourist attractions in Southeast Asia. Interior perspective
The task given was to explore the site ensemble of famous Khao San Road. Pallasmaa, J. (2005) “Experiencing architecture is multisensory; qualities of space,matter and scale are measured together by the eye,ear,nose,sk in,tongue,skeleton and muscle.Architecture strengthen one’s sense of being in the world and this is basically an enforced experience of self.Instead of mere vision or the five classical senses,architecture involves several realms of sensory experience which interact and fuse into each other” Based on the study, I discovered the main issue faced by the small community in the Thailaind and especially homeless. And I took the initiative by focused and get to know them closer how they work and what they want.One of them said that they want to display their creative artwork using recycle material. Some said they do not a place to stay but a place to display and to expose to the tourist their special talent.

A ‘back to basics’ approach to the environmental strategy is applied, which is passive and lo-tech. Carefully orientating the building to present the shorter faces to the east and west helps minimise heat gain and therefore lower cooling loads. This is complimented by deep overhangs to provide shade and respite from the sun and tropical showers, all of which help reduce the reliance on mechanical ventilation, cooling systems and its associated costs. Daylight analysis of the narrow plan form demonstrates excellent daylight penetration to the habitable areas, reducing the need for artificial lighting during the day and into early evening.

TANGIBLE ARTEFAC OF THE MASTER Understanding the relationship of pattern & texture / 2009 {Materials explore - 2009}
Supervisor: Mr.Fairuz Reza,Mr. Mokhtar & Mrs.Syifa I chose Edward Scissorhands (Johnny Depp) by Tim Burton movie. for my client because he played the unique characters that potray my personality. I’ve made a sculpture of his hand to show his imperfection is actually the complete him For the mock up studies, I discovered that the main material for this sculpture must be metal to show its strength and also to bend and made the shape that I want for example the mesh come with the nails.For the final sculpture, I used wood as a mole and covered it with aluminium plate and joined them with nails to make it move.

Orphan;a child who has lost both parents through death / 2012 {Shah Alam - 2012}
Supervisor: Ar Embong, Mr. Mizi, Dr.Rodzy, Mr. Awal My interest in the connection between the natural and the built environment stemmed from my childhood experiences in my village Besut,Terengganu. There I was exposed to a dichotomy of environments: on one end of the island was the concrete jungle of a high-density city; on the other end, the serenity of the small forest.The lessons I learned from both environments left poignant memories that have lasted a lifetime. As a young designer, these memories continually shape who I am. I have become increasingly sensitive to my environment, and to the people around me. My hope is to be able to use these lessons to educate the chidlren through design about the beauty of the natural and built environments. The concept of environmental education is a central concept to this design. Understanding the relationships between play, experiences in nature, environmental identity, the health, learning, attention, and development benefits of outdoor play, and the evolution of playscape design, a series of guidelines can be created to provide better childhood playscapes. Stapp’s definition outlines five major objectives: Awareness, Knowledge, Attitudes, Skills, and Participation.This is the terms that I consistantly focused for my design process.It is full with elements of nature th Spatial Arrangement open library

We are an active group that is interested in advocating architectural discourses through discussions and writings. We clearly believes that architectural discourse should be merged with other fields such as photography, science, philosophy as these intersections of knowledge are full of unkown voids that discoveries can still be made. Currently we organize discussions by way of zines, publications, events and also through crossover collaborations with other fields.

Experiencing Architecture : Capturing the temperament of Chaotic Bangkok.
The project was carried out at Bangkok,Thailand. This city is full of magnificence and charm that can attract tourists to explore the unique traditions, cultures, archeological sites, food and ways of living of its community. Being award of Asia’s Best City from Travel & Leisure Magazine as the best sightseeing capital in Asia and the third best in the world and never to mention its distinctive culture and exquisite architecture that can amaze people who really appreciate art. It is also very high populated city is the centre of the tourist attractions in Southeast Asia. As the project brief hijacking space explores the idea of the site through the site analysis and observation of the context to fulfill the task given in a short time. The intention of the project is challenge the idea of the architecture as it attempts to derive the meaning based on the result.I had carried out the task given by traverse the site ensemble of famous Khao San Road by quoting Pallasmaa, J. (2005) “Experiencing architecture is multi-sensory; qualities of space, matter and scale are measured together by the eye, ear, nose, skin, tongue, skeleton and muscle”. For me, its explain about how architecture connect me to environment with my sensitivity as a human being. A week staying there have made me see the small things that happen in the Khao San Road. The detail that actually made the Khao San Road is the community. There are various community that attract me to explore. Homeless, was the small community that I found very attractive and made me want to know them better. To see the world from their perspective and view. They have their though and initiative to expose themselves to tourist.They successfully attract me as a tourist to approach them with their own talent and creativity. Homeless in Khao San Road are very unique. They took the initiative by collecting empty cans and bottles and turn them into something that we can remember about Bangkok. They turn them into a small “tuk – tuk” as merchandise. As I see their effort have made me though something that can help them to expose and show people their work. I have found a perfect place for them. Spontaneous is their thing. I am not trying to change them. My intention just to prepare a place for them to do their work and all the product will be display and sell in merchandise shop. The profit will then pass to the homeless. I am hijacking a merchandise shop which have a empty space behind it. The empty space will be design a cube for one person space complete with working space. The spaces are only allowed for homeless. During day time, tourist can come to visit and walk around to see how these creative people work in order for them to appreciate the creativity of the homeless. The design process take place using recycle system which the recycle materials such as cans, bottles and plastic will be thrown and collect into a place. This also will reduce the rate of garbage at Khao San Road. Then all the collected garbage will go through cleaning and drying process using rain water harvesting. Finally, all the clean recycle material will be distribute to the homeless for them to create and design the work. For least, all the finish product will then be display in the merchandise shop below.
Living City : Live, play and work. (Final Year) Planning ,developed ,construct and maintain affordable lifestyle housing g for middleincome households in key urban centres.Middle-income is defined as a monthly household (husband and wife) income between RM2,500 - RM7,500. Living City housing is focusing on the characteristic of Rumah Melayu Lama concept. With the theme of live,play and work all in one building could provide a high density housing with the objective of creating a sense of belonging to the residents,where the children can grow up and play in safe and conducive environment,and also residents get to interact and know better of their neighbours and where the-aged residents get to have thier own area for gardening anf outdoor activities. Daylight analysis of the narrow plan form demonstrates excellent daylight penetration to the habitable areas, reducing the need for artificial lighting during the day and into early evening The open plan nature of the house, coupled with the ability for the external and internal walls to be slid back to remove any physical internal external barrier, capitalises on its ability to be cross ventilated.Orientating the living spaces in a south westerly direction allows for the harnessing of the prevailing SW wind that takes place 80% of the year and therefore reduces the need for artificial methods of ventilation and air flow. Internal temperature and humidity levels were also lowered, with the wind velocity of 1m/s within building being more than the 0.6m/s required by Green Mark. Green roof technology is incorporated into the roof , this helps reduce storm water run off and thus minimise the loading onto storm water drains. Whilst currently proposed as a roof garden, the space can be converted in the future to a further habitable room. The rainwater captured by the sloping roof would be collected into water storage tanks from which the water harvested would be used for irrigating the vegetation within the housing area. Studying on the traditional Malay Kampung house was one of main generating idea for my housing. The Kampung house, in its socio-environmental responsiveness, provides deep overhangs that permit shade, weather protection and therefore opportunities for social interaction and habitation of the anjung and serambi verandah spaces. The open permeable flexible interior spaces with higher roof volumes allow for social and spatial flexibility, made comfortable by cross ventilation. Lifting the building on stilts maximises air flow, provides a clear separation between public and private, and ultimately creates minimal groundwork penetration
As for single person ,the space is very simple essentially a one small private room to rest with large area to do all the activities. Every fmily unit is divided into three parts which is main spaces includes kitchen, dining room , living room, balcony and space that considered as shared territory and the other two parts area adult territory, chidren territory. Then for new family and for just married couple have shared territory and each of them have their own private area as a person have their own public realm.
Play, Learn and Inspire. ( Final Year) wMy interest in the connection between the natural and the built environment stemmed from my childhood experiences in my village Besut, Terengganu. There I was exposed to a contrast of environments: on one end of the island was the concrete jungle of a high-density city; on the other end, the serenity of the small forest.The lessons I learned from both environments left poignant memories that have lasted a lifetime. Stapp’s definition outlines five major objectives: Awareness, Knowledge, Attitudes, Skills, and Participation.This is the terms that I consistantly focused for my design process.It is full with elements of nature. The design of the play spaces starts
with a sketch or diagram indicating the relationships between activities and spaces, overlaid with an accurate site plan, preferably with contours or spot levels.The details of the space depends on the size and complexity of the project, the users , and on how the play space will be constructed. From my perspective, children derive pleasure and satisfaction from attractive with their physical environment in many different ways. Some of the things that stimulate play may be purpose-built play activities .Other things which stimulate play may be interesting spaces or surfaces that suggest particular games, or encourage activities such as rolling, hiding or running. Instead play can be triggered by vegetation, sand or loose materials that invite building, collecting. From my opinion spaces for children must follow three different element such a physical element which is what the child is physically doing, where they are doing it, and what they are playing with. Next is a symbolic element which is what game the child is actually playing in their head, and finally is a social element which who they are playing with, if they are not playing alone. The idea is to create and design a play spaces that provide settings for children
to play in different ways each time they visit, are tremendously valuable. Such spaces may be small and simple or large and complex. As I mentioned earlier, my idea for play takes many forms. It is important for me to recognise that physical activity on play equipment is only one of many ways that children like to use their environment. This is specifically important for encouraging participation by all children. While some children may not be able to swing from monkey bars, they will be able to be included in imaginative play, role play or creative play.
For some children it will be very difficult to ever accomplish mastery over certain physical challenges. Therefore, play spaces need to provide different opportunities for children to master skills on their own terms such as compose something on a musical panel. As a designer, I must follow and think about these elements in order to create conducive environment for children to play.
