Using Ice Breakers to help our New Members mingle meet each other!
And the year begins… Now that the new school year has begun one of our goals this first month is recruiting and retain the new members we get! Informing them and breaking that ice that new members tend to acquire when they come in to the meetings. Also, helping them mingle with other people by playing ice breakers in meetings is incredibly inspiring! Seeing new Key Clubbers have fun and see that their smiles grow each meeting is a heart-warming sight! Due to the high turnout in members, however, it does get hard to coordinate these events, but we are dedicated to give each member a feeling of having a family in Key Club! We will do anything we can, to the best of our abilities to serve our communities and members well to show how spirited we are! Our main goal is to inspire people to be active in their communities, school and even in a global scale with projects like the eliminate project! Let us make this year as productive and great as the previous ones! -Erick Jason Reyno (Bulletin Editor)

This event was definitely one of the most memorable. In the beginning we made signs to advertise our car wash and some of us stayed on street corners trying to get the driver’s attention. We had little spirit battles with Key Clubbers from the other corners catching the eyes of many drivers. Inside the car wash lanes, Key Clubbers took leadership roles and kept everyone organized yet remained very much spirited. In the end we were able to raise over $650! Service while having fun, that’s how Key Clubbers do it! – Chantal Mendoza
I was able to attend the RTC on the 16th of September. It was really an experience I will never forget. Mingling with our fellow Key Clubbers, the Puffer fishes, the Koalas and the White Tigers was really fun! Learning about the eliMiNaTe project really inspired me to do something more to help reach that $450,000 goal of CNH. Every penny counts right? It also brought about ideas that I can bring and contribute with my fellow board members and Key Clubbers! Cheering was probably one of the most tiring thing that we did, I practically lost my voice! Added to that, and the fatigue from the Black and White dance the night before, I was surprised I still had enough energy to cheer my heart out! The workshops did their job too! The presenters made sure that their presentations are fun and exciting, also the ice breakers during our spare time was really fun! Oh! Winning that little spirit battle was a proud moment! I am proud to be a D3 Sharkey. –Erick Jason Reyno
Member Recognition Member of the Month!!! John Marshall High’s Key Club is honoring RJ Gopez with the title Member of the Month for September. RJ shows true dedication to Key Club and inspires many of his fellow members. He works hard to help the board members and goes out of his way to contribute as much as he can. An example of RJ’s exemplary work was at the Divisional Car Wash, where he exercised his leadership potential and provided help when it was needed. Even though the shift was only three hours, RJ stayed to offer more help. At the meetings, he tries to get everyone involved and spreads his spirit to our new members. Our key club is proud to have such an enthusiastic member who contributes selflessly and genuinely enjoys helping out.

John Marshall High’s Key Club names Chrisline Raymundo as Officer of the Month for September. Chrisline is our club’s historian who does such an excellent job to capture the essence and spirit of our Key Club. She is always seen with her camera, snapping hundreds of pictures that end up on our club page. Chrisline is organized, responsible, and very much dedicated to maintaining the pride of our Key Club. She definitely deserves the honor of being Officer of the Month because she shows us how much she cares about her position in the club and always does her best to fulfill her duties.
