Since purchasing Elders Real Estate Port Macquarie in 2017, David saw a unique opportunity in a market place that was open for change. In that time he has expanded to a total of 11 offices that strategically enable full market coverage, blanketing the Mid North Coast and Northern Rivers areas. W EA LTH The wealthy understand that the deal maker is a great leadership opportunity. Strong and fair leaders pay it forward. Build positive relationships that reward all players and pay it forward. It has been mentioned before and I think this is a key discriminator of really successful people. They are well-liked and develop long term relationships because of the way they manage their affairs. They understand that you must always leave a little bit for the next guy. This is a strategy that makes the deal nice and builds respect and loyalty over the long term. In property investing and leadership there is a legacy secret. I want to share a story about one of my great long time partners, a mate, and a mentor of mine. I bought the penthouse in his development at a price of approximately $2.4 million. I sold it 2 years later for $3.8 million and I nervously called him to share my great result in a very short period. He asked, “How’d you go with that penthouse”? When I told him about the great sale price I had achieved, he smiled and said, “Dave, I did that deal with you. I made my 30% profit and I am so happy for you”. My partner was focused on his return at the time. He was happy for me and had already moved to his next venture. I greatly respect this mentor because he is such a nice business partner. He is not greedy and does not operate from 6

Skip the Sugar If you don’t want your kids having a ton of sugar over the Easter holiday, swap out chocolate eggs for plastic eggs with slips of paper with rewards inside them. The rewards can be things like staying up late, choosing dessert or having a lunch date with Mum.

No one is ever too old for a bit of friendly competition at Easter. Make the egg hunt a race by setting a time limit. Whoever finds the most eggs in the allocated time wins. Or make it a relay race, and hunt in pairs. While one team member is hunting for eggs, the other has to carry a raw egg on a spoon back and forth across the lawn until their teammate returns. If the egg cracks, they have to return all the found Easter eggs and start over!

Tip 1. Invest in Basics There is no rule when it comes to shopping for basics however for me, I like to keep it pretty simple. Look at purchasing a singlet or cami in a non-clingy fabric (neutral colours are best), a great shape tee (white / black & light grey) , good quality white long sleeve shirt (linen blends are my fav), two pairs of perfectly fitting jeans (black & traditional blue) a well cut blazer ( I like a relaxed fit with a ¾ sleeve) and a wrap dress (plain or print). These items will be your go to and help to build numerous outfits. Invest in good quality brands that fit you perfectly and highlight your best bits.

Tip 2: Wear it 3 Ways When considering packing an item ask yourself ‘can I wear this 3 different ways?’ If the answer is no – pop it back and keep looking for a more versatile piece. When you find a garment you can wear at least 3 different ways it becomes a safe space saving way to get maximum versatility out of your look.

Tip 3: Complimentary Clothing Ensure the pieces in your suitcase compliment almost all of your other clothing. This creates consistency and gives you loads more options when putting together looks along with providing you with a unique sense of style suited to your body shape and personality. Also work to a colour pallet that suits your skin tone and don’t forget fabrics are super important when styling and customising your look.

Tip 4: Stalk your Location One thing we all like to know is ‘What is everyone else wearing?’ Thanks to Instagram hashtags we can work out what outfits will be suited to your location. Use hashtags to view images of people at restaurants and key locations in and around your holiday destination. There’s no use packing a LBD if the ‘vibe’ is white, linen and maxi dresses. ¾ teaspoon baking soda ½ teaspoon salt 12 Tablespoons (1 ½ sticks) unsalted butter, melted and cooled 1 cup packed light brown sugar ½ cup granulated sugar 1 large egg 1 egg yolk 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 ½ cups mini eggs, such as Cadbury, partially chopped ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)

3. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium sized bowl. 4. In a stand mixer, beat together the butter and sugars on medium until smooth and combined, about 1-2 minutes. 5. Add the egg, yolk, and vanilla, and beat again until combined, scraping the bowl as needed. 6. Add the flour mixture and mix on low speed until just combined. 6. Stir in 1 cup of the mini eggs and the walnuts, if using. Using a Tablespoon sized cookie scoop, scoop heaping Tablespoon sized balls onto the parchment lined baking sheets, leaving at least 2 inches of space between them. 7. Bake until the edges are set, but the centers are still very soft and puffy, 11-13 minutes. 8. As soon as they come out of the oven, gently press the remaining mini eggs on top. 9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet until they can be moved, about 5-7 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.
