I actually can’t believe that it is September 1st. I’m not sure about you but it feels like the summer just flew by. In addition, just like that, Energi Magazine turns 3 years old today. So much has happened over the past few months and there are so many new things to look forward to. I wanted to take a moment to say a big thank you to all of the contributors and to all of you readers for helping make Energi Magazine possible.
I will admit that all of the excitement has caused my head to spin a little bit which is why this month we are looking at the topic of balance. Let’s try and get ourselves rebalanced before we move into a new season. Let’s check in with ourselves and see what we need to adjust so that we can be the best version of ourselves that we can be.

In a world full of extreme views and radical ideas about gender and gender identity, it’s important to remember what life is all about - discovery and personal growth. In the journey toward self-discovery and personal growth, the concept of balancing masculine and feminine energies is very significant. These energies, often associated with distinct traits and qualities, are not exclusive to any gender, but represent an interplay within each individual. Finding harmony between these energies can lead to a more fulfilling life. Here's why achieving this balance is crucial and here’s how you can cultivate both sides of your energy spectrum.

This month the Council of Light and Energy (COLE) are encouraging you to see your unique place in this world. They invite you to imagine the world as a big puzzle, and each of us is a piece of that puzzle in our unique individual states.
For some of you the message is to be yourself rather than attempting to be like someone else. The COLE has observed that many of you are missing out on your purpose because you believe that if you are like someone who has what you want, you can have it too. Your journey to your desires and evolution is unique and exclusive to you. If you start trying to live someone else’s journey, you only end up derailing and delaying your own.
For some of you, the message from the COLE is that they have observed you feeling fed up with your life, tired of repeating the same cycles. This is attributed to you living inauthentically and not embracing your true self. Once you begin to drop the mask and any facades you may be hiding behind, you will grow into being your authentic self. This will lead you towards fulfilling your purpose as you show up as you, more and more.
There is so much we each have to offer and contribute when we embody our unique self. You are a gift to the Universe and a necessary part of Divine Intelligence.

Depending on lifestyle factors such as diet and stress, our bodies’ pH levels can get out of balance, either becoming too alkaline or too acidic. More commonly it is the latter. Most diseases, illnesses, bad bacteria, viruses and mould thrive in these over acidic environments. An acidic state also causes lack of oxygen at a cellular level. Other benefits of being more alkaline include improved cardiovascular health and brain function, strong bones and muscles, lowered blood pressure and lowered cholesterol. Measured through numbers, the scale ranges from 0 to 14, with 14 being the highest alkalinity, 0 the highest acidity and 7 being neutral. You can test your body’s pH either by placing a pH test strip/drops in your urine or saliva first thing in the morning for a few seconds and compare it to the pH scale. Ideally you’d want to be in the 6.5 - 7.5 range.
